ooh, i actually got into the video! the finnish independence day is on the 6th so you are still technically on the right time (due to timezones we are on the 7th now). that advice on getting the skilled staffer (around the 35:00 mark) is very valuable, i instinctively avoid getting those red numbers so i would have never known that you can still get something out of them. i also find it delightful to hear foreigners try to pronounce my language. EDIT: what is that little piece of Finland i'm seeing in the central asia :D
It can be risky to go for skilled staffer, but if you think you’ll be fine front wise, it’s really good to get. Especially when fighting on the defense and knowing you’ll have to go on the offense in a bit. I’ll definitely play Finland again soon, so many my pronunciations will be better by then? Probably not but I want to try my best
@@thetibbiesshow finnish is a difficult language to pronounce, i can understand if the pronunciation is not perfect (one small hint i can give is that we typically roll our r's) so i'm not certainly clowning on someone who doesn't do it perfectly from the get go.

Legend for the pronunciation help. And I find spies to be a waste of time in this instance. I should’ve included this in the video, BUT spying on the Soviets is horrible. They get tons of buffs for their spy catching by mid game and I need my factories early game so I might as well just not do them. If I’m fighting the allies, Japan, or the axis, then I looooove using spies, but the Soviets are just built differently.
I have a challenge for you. HOI4's newest challenge is to take Berlin as a Reindeer Sapmi division. How about a friendly competition to see who can do it earlier into the game? Loser has to play Macau in Millennium Dawn.
Sounds like a fun challenge! A few rules I think we should have is: 1: Must start as Sweden released Sapmi in jan 1st, 1936. 2: must own Berlin, not just control. 3: you have to own all sami cores by game end 4: you have to play historical mode/Ironman mode. 5: no joining factions. Any other rules you think we should have or is there a rule I mentioned you don’t like?

31:51 Hey, just a little correction, Simo's name was pronounced "See-mo Hah-oo-hah", which was usually pronounced more like "See-mo How-hah".
Also, if you see a Finnish word with a J in it, that's pronounced like an English Y. So for example, it's not "Kahr-jah-lah" it's "Kahr-yah-lah".
