The 2003 F2003-GA boasts a V-10 producing 930-bhp and a rev limit of an astonishing 19,000 rpm. During Schumacher’s title-winning 2003 Formula One season, he secured a remarkable five victories in chassis #229, including the Grand Prix in Spain, Austria, Canada, Italy, and the United States. Furthermore, the car secured three pole positions, three fastest laps, and a further two podium finishes in Monaco and France. This astonishing race record made chassis #229 instrumental in securing the sixth World Championship for Michael Schumacher, which at that time surpassed Fangio’s 46-year record, as well as gifting Ferrari its fifth consecutive constructor’s title.

Mick is really car enthusiast just like Vettel, he know he love V10 so much just like me who enjoy his father winning in a Ferrari. I really agree with Mick, they should bring back the old good V10 even though it may runs in hydrogen fuel.
Seb already did it with mansell's 92 car using clean fuel
As much as we all would love to see V10s with sustainable fuel, in a tech focused sport like F1 it isn't going to happen, it will stay turbo hybrid regardless if they technically could run carbon neutral n/a engines. but it does mean we could see more historic F1 cars running sustainable fuel, If I remember correctly the Ignition GP series uses clean fuel already

@@-TvB- I know. That's why I said he needs a good car and a team behind him. Haas has done neither of those things for him this season. And the car was nowhere near competitive in his first year with them.

The thing is also, who says if they were allowed to run a NA V10 today, that it would still be 2 seconds slower. Allow the engineering teams from 2023 with today's insights and knowledge go to work on it for a year and build a new car around a NA V10. I guarantee the vacuums won't be able to hang with it. The truly insane thing of all of this is, we keep kneecapping western economies, motorsports etc and to top it off china is exempt from all climate treaties it's signed for the next 20-30 yrs anyways. We're destroying economies and it's arguable the new cars have in a very real sense for a large portion of the fans destroyed F1 to some degree, sound is a major part of races, of any sort. There's no comparison the cars from before to the cars today. The previous cars created a visceral experience, it was almost primal. You heard those cars and you knew you were close to something simply amazing. Can anyone say they get the same feeling today? So yes were the older cars less climate friendly? Absolutely. But honestly what was worse, F1 running a race at a different city throughout the season or china bringing brand new coal power plants online every 2 weeks. That's not even touching on what lithium mining does to the landscape or the fact it takes 1,000,000 gallons of water to create 2 tons of lithium. Electric and hybrid cars suck. I don't care if that makes me a backwards A-hole to say that. They suck and I'll never own one. To the point I know someday they will try to outright ban ICE cars on the road and I'm ready to go on one more thunder run with the berries and cherries chasing me in their climate friendly patrol cars if need be lol. When the entire world has truly gone insane and outlawed anything that once resembled what was called fun, what's the point of living in it forever anyways
@@jasonwrner How cares if it would be 2 seconds slower?! Viewers wouldn't even recognise it, because the fun and the entertainment what the NA V10s would provide, would be absolutely enourmos! Let the manufacturers create a V10, but without the silencing stuff but using today's technology. It would beat the sh*t out of today's F1 engines.

Mick: "These cars belong on racetracks." Very well said! I'm so happy that Mick got an opportunity to drive this particular car. I know that it had to mean a lot to him and I'm sure it was a lot of fun on top of that. Mick in a red Ferrari uniform just looks right.
I know that Mick has had a rough season but I'm kinda hoping that he will get another shot and get to drive in F1 next year but I know we will just have to wait and see.
Things I want to see from Mick in the future (if possible):
1. Mick WDC
2. Mick in Ferrari (If their strategists improved)
3. Mick beating Lewis’ 103 race wins records (maybe)

In the last part of the video when the engine screams , it's like the car says I miss you Michael.
I am fortunate enough I grew up in this era of cars. I remember the F2003 because it struggled against McLaren Williams and Renault who were suddenly faster than Ferrari. But Michael somehow miraculously pulled another chanpionship out of the bag after a messy race at Suzuka. It was a rollercoaster year. I remember it like yesterday. The sound of the cars were comparable to what you can own on the street. My Honda was souped up sounded like an F1 car on the street. Unlike nowdays with all the sound restrictions we get the best silent cars from Tesla.

My God….that beautiful symphony of the V10 screaming, there’ll never be another more beautiful sound at a Formula 1 track, it’s a sad, sad realization 😔. I wish Mick the very best in his future racing career.

@@thanekrios3211 Mick is winning in head to head against Magnussen right now, Kmag only got more points because he scored it when the Haas is still competitive while Mick has just gotten into it and by the time he is beating Kmag race by race, the Haas car is no longer competitive
@@ihsanjayadi88 It's an interesting point, but Magnussen (who isn't much of a benchmark for excellence regardless) has beaten Mick in the last two races, so let's see how the rest of the season pans out. I just don't think that he (Mick) is that quick or that great a driver overall. I know that junior formulae are not a one hundred percent guarantee of success in F1, but three poles in 60 F3 races and zero in two years of f2, both of which are control series, does not suggest a great degree of raw pace. From watching him in F1 I just don't see anything special about him and my personal opinion is that without his surname being what it is he'd be getting very little attention. He's repeatedly binned the car too and HAAS are still considering dropping him for Hulkenberg, a man with zero podiums in over 180 starts. That alone says a lot. On an unrelated note, I don't see how the f2003 qualifies as "dominant" as the video title suggests.
@@thanekrios3211 well Suzuka was a big strategic mess on Haas side so I wouldn't count that... I don't think he will ever win champion ships, but he seems like a good midfield guy.
@@knochi956 Yeah, that's pretty much where I stand on him mate. I don't think that he's a Latifi level waste of a seat by any stretch of the imagination. I just don't think that he's 'top tier' (obviously by F1 standards) or anything particularly special either though. I'd love to be proven wrong as I was a huge fan of his Dad, right back from the Benetton days, but viewed objectively I just don't see the same level of talent in Mick as the best of this generation such as Leclerc or Verstappen.

Probably not, because of lack of road relevance for V10s. They'd only be developed for F1, which is wasted money for manufacturers.

Probably not. Synthetic/sustainable fuels are really interesting, but they are something that F1 isn't really interested in. F1 is interested in speculative engineering performance within a subset of rules they can maintain control over.
Reason I emphasize that second part is because lots of pioneering technology is featured at time attack challenges and even festivals, which lack the same heavy restrictions, but very few are concerned with those events compared to the prestige of F1.

2003 wasn't a dominant year - 2002 & 2004 were. The F2003-GA was not the fastest car, it had the greatest driver.
