great series of videos. i'm watching this in Feb-23, because i just bought a brand new FZ300.. didn't believe the salesguy when he said the camera was 10 years old. but turns out he was only a little bit off: it came out in ... 2015. (!) I plan to use it to shoot videos for my youtube channel.

Great tutorial. I bought a TZ100 at the Photography Show, and the learning curve of this camera far higher than my TZ70 and TZ30. Some of the buttons are slightly different, but tutorial is relevant to the TZ100.

i have an FZ300 and the AF mode i use most of the time is Custom Multi. Even for video...
The area can also be enlarged using two fingers on the touch screen

If - on my Fz2500 - I'm in the custom focus mode & I ' Don't ' select any areas & then save this - as custom # 1 - what would the camera be choosing to focus on ? The whole area equally in focus ? Thanks
I have been watching your videos for some time. My current camera is an FZ150. Do you think that the FZ300 offers enough extra goodies to re-inspire? 4k video is definitely catching my attention and so too is touch screen focus.

Graham, I am new to photography and have just been provided a FZ300. Your tutorials are so helpful and I also have your User Manual. This may be a silly question, but is there an explanation why I only see the green ‘in focus’ light when in Auto mode? I shoot mostly in A and no matter the condition, distance, lighting etc. I either get the red light or no light, never the green indicator. Perhaps there’s a setting that needs to be adjusted? I have the sound off as I find that irritating. I appreciate your feedback at your convenience.

Graham. The Fz1000 doesn't have touchscreen per your video description. You incorrect stated that it does. BTW, great tutorial as always!

Can it focus while zooming??
Question here. On my FZ300, in AFC mode when I hit the left cursor I do not see the screen shown in the video at 0:54 that allows me to set auto focus area mode. Instead I see a square target in the middle of the screen, and a number of things across the top: IA, STD, flash off, MP4 FHD 60p, 4:3, A down arrow over boxes, AFC, some overlapping squares with a cross, and the battery level. Bottom left has a head in a box with a left arrow, bottom right says Lock with a down arrow over the shutter. Any idea how I get the auto focus area button to show me the screen in the video?
Does connecting a second monitor thru the HDMI port disable the touch screen?
What mode would you recommend for filming surfing?
Graham thank for your tutorial , i finally bought fz300 but it record only 4k @25fps not 30fps but from their website they state it record 30fps
ok my question is how to get everything infocus? also the auto focus is very slow i think i find iA mode to be better autofocus.

Graham thank you i found out best autofocus mode by switching to IA mode + the button should be at MF and click lock AF then its super fast autofocus and sharp but i do not know why i do not get 4k @30fps i thought fz330 will be 25fps not 300 thank you

Will the autofocus be good if I intend to do sit down style youtube videos or does it keep hunting for focus? It would be really helpful if any FZ80 user answers this as I intend to buy this camera later this year In Sha Allah.

If the screen it touch screen, why can't you touch to focus instead of using the control dials?
Yes of course, touch to focus is the most useful feature of the camera
Is that also for animals?
What is the difference between the AFC and AFF modes? It looks for me exactly the same.
I have a g6 max with fz300. I'm very disappointed with mine. Touch screen does not work. Following modes won't work. Manuals are useless
