not easy to check your color cards with this tool which is not better calibrated than the charts ... in a year even if you calibrate your colorreader you wont' know how correct its readings are. It is still hard decision with a better device and you probably never will buy a calibrated lab device to check your cards in a few months / years) those colormeters would cost ridiculously much money.

hey graham! so i got this camera without any previous knowledge and i know this is abit late but its suuuper dark when i record and i have no idea why. do you think you could help? is it the camera i got or the cameras in itself?

Hi Graham, I'm not going to attempt to build something like this myself. But I do need to go from a line output of a mixer into a mic input. I notice Canford make various XLR attenuators, but would I go with a 200 ohms or a 600 ohms one? (I don't fully understand impedance)

Hi Graham, Thanks for a very informative video. This together with many of the comments has convinced me to buy genuine Panasonic batteries for my FZ330. Unfortunately I can't find them either on Amazon or on the Panasonic site. I had previously purchased a couple of DSTE batteries, following your previous recommendations but they both failed in well less than a year, so I don't want to go back to these. Do you have any other recommendations following your testing?

Kodak DC4800 in 2000 started at 750$ about $1,368.36 today, that was not cheap camera, therefor lens are good. Whole camera is not a toy, like today camera in 1000$ price range.

Panasonic just recently released an upgrade to this model, the FZ80D. so I'm keeping an eye on this machine. The only issue I have right now is the video distortion issue that occurs when moving the camera as mentioned in this video. The application I'm going to use it for is shooting concerts. Of course, I will be using a tripod and head. However, I'm still a little concerned about the distortion of the recorded video when I move the camera according to the position of the actor's movement. I would like to know how long it takes for the distortion of the image to recover if the camera has stopped moving with a tripod and head in use? (i.e. stop distorting)

Hi Graham, I have a question. I bought the WEC-S kit2 and tried it as a USB microphone plugging in the receiver into my desktop PC and my notebook. Both have Windows running on them. What I noticed that it is very quiet. I almost have to swallow the transmitter to get to 50% loudness level. From usual distance it's about 10%. I pulled up the microphone volume to the maximum in Windows. I wonder if it's just my copy or it is like that?

I know it's a long shot, but is it possible that recording with an external mic plugged in but not active could fry the internal mic preamp with the AGC function? I have recorded almost all of my youtube content for my other channel @hicostlocost with the hollyland Lark M1 wireless mics with good results. It seems that the more I record, though, the worse the background noise gets. Any thoughts?

Are there ways to organize the photos on the SG card? Say into albums? I shoot hundreds of pics a day, so all in one folder would be impossible to work with

What about the sony ecm-w2bt ? The marketing page says it is possible to connect a stereo mic to the 3.5 and record the stereo signal. However this mic has no storage in the transmitter which makes it unreliable. I try to find if the Hollyland Lark Max has or not this feature, but it is difficult to find. I have the Azden smx-30 which has both mono Or stereo switch. It has embedded a professional shotgun mono, or you can activate the 120 degrees full range stereo mic to record concerts.

When shooting at ISO100, is Noise reduction needed? Are changes in photo styles displayed instantly in real time on the back display? Thank you for your informative video.

I have an intermittent on/off switch on a Panasonic FZ300. Do you think removing the battery and working the on/off switch back and forth for 2 minutes or so might resolve the issue? Thanks, Mark

Thanks to this tutorial, which I watched many months ago when I got my camera, I learned how to use AI+ for my birding photography. I am now going to also apply the manual mode for those birds behind branches and see if I can make that work. I am so glad you addressed that issue. However, the bottom of the screen did not show in your video where you said all the settings recorded aperture speed, etc. I don't understand the terms and I can't find it on my screen. I wish I could see it somewhere.

I juat bought a second hand Tz10 to replace a stolen Canon camera. LCD is much better, you can actually use it on bright sunlight, the Canon was useless. I prefer the Colour on the Canon, the TZ!0 images looks blue on outdoor stills. And there isn'[t much shadow detail and the hightlights blow out. I discovered settings which improves things. Contrast -1. I exposure low. Exposure compensation -2/3. Use cloudy and sunlight white balance instead of auto. Red- blue white balance hue set to one click red.
