People saying it's creepy? I find Fever Ray really calming. I don't think it is supposed to be creepy, more like tribal and primal.
Fever ray is amazing, some people just don't understand what their missing out on. haha
I think its cause its different. They make different sounds each song and they don't follow the typical conventional guide lines for a song, like most songs in the mainstream.
A person is clever, people are stupid. Tis why these legit indie bands are always great.

Also keeping in mind that this atmosphere works ideally for their live shows, since their work is pretty heavily sythned; they'll find not too much to do on stage, so their musicvideo atmosphere fits perfectly with their shows and suits the lyric to create an even deeper live atmosphere.

Yeah, I think people (this includes your first line, Contraceptive) who're sayin' that Fever Ray/Knife aren't creepy/weird in some way or being blindly defensive of themselves. It's pretty obvious that creepy/strange is an atmosphere that they are actively aiming for; you don't accidentally make videos like that.
They have typically dark lyrics and contrasting music; for their own reasons they've chosen to appear like that and whether you think it's good or bad is up to you.
