We started writing Monument after playing around with a software that can stretch short bits of music into billions of years of sound. It made total sense to me that Max wanted to explore this floating feeling and mediation in the video...

I'm dying of renal cell carcinoma. I'm currently on Opdivo, and it shows promise, but like the other chemos (votrient and afinitor) that I've been on, it too will stop being effective one day. This is just fantastic! I still can't believe I was actually in Tromso in the 90's when Royksopp were just starting out. A fabulous, timeless sound just as fresh today as all those years ago.
I am a 61 year old truck driver love music. The first time I heard this song loved it witch was today and you know or would think listening to a song 100 times would be enough . But NOOOO not me I've listened to it 300 times I can't explain why soo many times but I have. Ohhhh well enough talk. Gotta listen again...
Last thing I listened to before my 3rd brain surgery. Woke up unable to walk anymore. This still frees me.

Same. Listening through headphones. I was actually asleep and woke up to this playing. Then, dozed off again. Later when I woke up I was like what the hell was that song playing earlier. I was hooked to it. Thankful I was able to go back and find the song to see who and what it was.

For me, this is one of those songs that you kinda dismiss the first few times hearing it, then all of the sudden it hooks you and you fall in love.
I lost my dad last year to brain cancer (glioma stage 4). This song makes wanna cry every moment, thinking what the hell was going on inside his had before his last breath. I wish I could comfort him of all the pain and the terror of the unknown.
OMG I felt that. The truth, I believe, is you could not have truly empathized with him on his trip to the unknown, because you'll only know it when you make it yourself. But if he felt your love before passing, you gave him all you could, and to him that would have been enough.Love was the only and best thing you could give, and you gave it. I know when you first listen this song you don't feel that it's right (coz you haven't listened to something like this ever before) but then after one or two repeats, this is kinda crazy that this song goes deep into your soul subconsciously. You are stuck with this song forever and then you start to realize that what meaning it has. Beautiful depiction of life. No matter what are you doing whether sleeping or staying awake doing your job this monument 🏛 keeps playing in your head and soul. I know this is something I can't explain but this is happening to me ever since I discovered it. I want this song to be, "when I'm gone" song for me.

This song means something different every single time I hear it. It evokes so much emotion. This is a spectacular and well written song. Gorgeous. They collaborate so well. It really is special.
It's amazing what one can do with PLC synthesisers, Korgi Organs and Beat Box Electro Drum banks. All this gear was mothballed back in the late 80's. What goes around eventually comes around, age has excluded me from acceptance but I always love to hear artist's keeping the dream alive. Poetry, the rhythm of the body and sweet sounds are what it's all about. It's timeless. Cheers.
