    This is the first time I have seen this guy from the US reviewing the Superwogs. I can understand the amazement at these guy. I am a retired Australian Police Officer and absolutely cried laughing because so much of it was relevant. If only it was possible to call this stuff out for what it was in real life. The car is definitely a movie prop, because it has a sunroof, which is an optional extra a Departmental Vehicle would never have. In my early days they did not even have an AM radio. We used to put a transistor radio in the car (in the centre of the bench seat) so that we could listen to the footy while working.
    I am impressed by all your iconic Aussie car stuff behind you, but you need an Australian Chrysler Charger and get rid of that 'cane toad' hat and get one for the NSW Blues, or at least the Cronulla Sharks.

      I believe the 1966 flick “They're a weird mob" might have been the very first Aussie "wog" comedy. It was about a very innocent Italian immigrant Nino Culotta (played by Walter Chiari) who arrived in Sydney in 1965 and he got into all sorts of funny situations with the locals. I think it's on Netflix at the moment. Anthony Lees, the man known as Spanien. is a very popular travel documentarian and social commentator. A bit rough round the edges but very likeable. Reminds me of Anthony Bourdain.

    Oh you like the Holden as a cop car? Check out the documentary "Mad Max". The car Nightrider was driving in the beginning was a stolen cop car, a Holden Monaro. These were the standard pursuit vehicles in the movie. Of course the Interceptor was a Falcon.

    One thing you should know by now is that the average Aussie doesn't take themselves too seriously. Honestly, Australia's national symbol should be a Scoreboard. Footy or cricket, it doesn't matter.
    We're a country of sportsmen (and women). We like seeing runs on the board.

    Aussies love taking the micky out of serious topics. It has always been our way to deal with unpleasant and uncomfortable situations. I hope we never lose it and our newest generation takes that on board and not get caught up with people who are only good at playing the victim.

    Im glad here in Australia we still dare to go to taboo topics in comedy. Its such a relief to have a laugh and a piss take at ourselves. Glad you liked it, housos was a great series that took place in government housing estates. Similar style of comedy and while its a parody, it is also a lovable look at life for some of the have nots around here.

We will open our homes up and here's the car keys, you should check these places out, just bring the car back with the petrol level equal or higher than when you took it with and do you want dinner or are you eating out... It's how we are here as you know, friendly, inviting and love a beer and a laugh.

    Warning, this is a long read;
    In Victoria Australia, we have a suburb called TOORAK where only the very wealthy can call home, It's like 5km from Melbourne's CBD. Mum's who could let their kids walk or catch public transport, do the school run so they can be seen in their, shinny new, straight off the factory floor, top of the range luxury version with all the bells and whistles and cleaner than the day the dealership dropped it off, normally worth more than some homes and would have been a push present. This means, anyone who owns or drives a SUV OR 4x4 as described is driving a "Toorak Tractor'"!
    I have to say I do like your name for them, a "Pavement Princesses" fit's most mums perfectly.
    It doesn't matter where you live in the inner city area, there is always that mum who only uses the 4b to shuffle kids around and goes to the shopping centre. Like really, you don't want your good car dinged up and how do you fit a dirty school bag in a Bimmer? You can always pick them, they park like they own the entire carpark, they can't back up, they turn a corner like its an 18 wheeler, it's always an auto and they wouldn't know what the H or L means on the stick.
    I owned a Ford Ranger before I got the car I drive now. I hate decal's and stickers, so I took every decal off it the moment i got home, just for shits and giggles I only removed the R from the RANGER decal on the tailgate for a few weeks, I did get a few comments and some side eye.
    An Aussie parking tip
    When you set up your 4x4 to use it for its designed purpose, you sometimes have to bumper park, which means, it had a Bull bar on the front and a hitch on the back, so I was a bit long for the standard car space, just as long as you didn't set off the car alarm on the car in front of yours, you simply back up an inch and she's parked up.
