Amazing how I've been trying to figure out how to approach this for 3 years now and you're the first person to explain it effectively. Can't wait to try this at stick n puck tomorrow
Hey Steve… glad it was helpful. Check back in with your progress!
You make this look so easy lol, I really struggle with my outside edges but the way you demonstrated this gives me a better perspective. Thanks coach!
You can do it!
your instructional videos are excellent. easy to understand
Thank you!
i struggled to find the balance with the first crossover, I was doing a good c-cut but just half-way crosses, definitely going to repeat these drills until I get it, great video :)
Great video! This should help a lot, gonna try to practice first thing in the morning!
You're a great skater.
Thank you so much
Smooth!
You broke it down perfectly, cant wait to get on the ice
In the fwd x-over video you emphasized weight in heel. This helped me improve my balance. For backwards x-overs, I'm still struggling with balance on inside leg / outside edge. is there a similar emphasis on where I should place my weight in my skates?
It's going to middle/back. Same idea. Your chest needs to be up, bring your belly button over the leg you are balancing on (as much as you can), crush your shins into the tongue of your skate... We need to lean inwards without stepping down forwards. Same idea as the forward crossover.
great video. whats a good way to improve backward outside edge balance?
Twist butt, same time outside leg over front. Slowly doing this barefoot in living room over and over seems to help...kids think I'm nuts. Will try this at rec. skating
Thanks
Lol..."kids think I'm nuts".
I see hockey players doing a quick start backwards crossover to then go forward. Please explain to me how I do this
Great tips! I think the audio from the wireless mic is not coming through. You can really on hear coach when he’s close, so I thin the audio is from the camera.
I think you’re right about the mic. My case causes problems. I think I solved it though. Thanks for the heads-up though.
@@kellianhockeyskilldevelopm2321 It's not that bad!
you can say butt, coach
Lol
