The Zeniths are actually quite fitting for the overall theme of Horizon. We are people of the new world threatened by the powerful remnants of the old world, just as it was with Hades.

What I don't understand is why the writers picked the Sirius star system, it's extremely young at like 300,000,000 years old there wouldn't be any habitable planet there yet, most them would still be like earth in the Hadean Eon I'd imagine and incredible hot still from formation. No way could the Zeniths live there. Plus the system is a binary star and very luminous, definitely not good for Humans at all.

You know, I got a theory that Faro Plague was not made by an accident but that this "glitch" was nothing more that an illusion. That this error was created by AI developed by Hartz-Timor Energy Combine, which gone rogue (maybe VAST SILVER, but it can't be logic) because of something and determined that humanity, along of all biosphere, seems to be a threat to machines. So it started Plague and this Nemesis is nothing more than a more advanced, created from its code version and that we will fight against both old Faro Plague and this new one from Sirius star system. And I don't think those nearly 12 Zeniths were the only ones which came to Earth. I want to know if some "rebel Zeniths" came to Earth maybe 200 or even max 500 years before events in Horizon. This could be interesting.

They were rich, spoiled assholes who left humanity to die and spent the last millennia indulging their fantasies without anything to show for it. The only reason they even came back was because their own hubris bit them in the ass in the form of nemesis. Of course, they're acting like petulant children they've been on a thousand-year pleasure cruise and are now actually having to do something for themselves in order to survive.

    Wonderful, just great.
So, according to HFW not even a millennia of evolution allowed the Far Zenith/Ancient Humans to overcome our basic impulse for self-destruction (by attempting to further push the limits, now with digital immortality, which backfires and becomes their, and by extension _our_ doom)
The future is very bright indeed.

    • @LisaAnn777
