I've had Milestar Patagonia A/T tires on two different vehicles. Great performance in snow, on dry pavement, off road, and acceptable mud performance. All around great tires for a daily driver that hits the trails couple times a year.
The milestar patagonias are terrible cupped
I can attest to the Milestar Patagonia ATs. Owned 2 sets because they by far exceeded my expectations on durability and performance off-road.
Got a set of 33 x 12.50 x 20 Kenda Klever R/Ts on my truck and they have been awesome so far. I have also gotta a lot of comments about them looking good. Best thing is they dont make alot of noise on the road. I had set of Interco SS M16s before these and they were loud on the road.
I have Milestar Patagonia M/T on my 02 TJ Wrangler. I honestly bought them 3 years ago because I needed tires and didn't want to spend a ton of money. I bought them because Matt's Offroad Recovery used them and raved about them and they were relatively inexpensive. I couldn't be happier. Although my TJ isn't a daily driver, I would chose these tires if it was. They are hands down the quietest M/T tire I have ever had, and I have had several. In fact, even with the top off at highway speeds, you have to listen hard to hear any tire noise. They do great in sand and light mud and from what i have seen, they are great on rocks as well. I would definitely buy them again. The only knock I know of is treadwear/life being somewhat short. If you need a 55,000 tread wear tire, that may be a factor.
Ive been using a set of yokohama geolanders for about 2 yrs. No real complaints, and they were pretty cheap.
Have been running the Milestar Patagonia M/T's for almost 2 years now and love them!! Exceptional road manners, relatively quiet for M/T's. Do extremely well on rocky and sandy terrain. Also do a good job expelling mud and water when taking on the terrain here in Florida.
What kind of mileage do you get from the patagonia m/t before replacing
That's my goto next! I do minor to severe dune driving if anyone needs temporary or even long terms Hercules is owned by Cooper last I checked I use their Ironman ATs it's an old design but the tread will surprise you! I dropped my PSI to 16lbs and it takes the dunes really well
I love those. More aggressive than they appear
I got a set of wheels wheels for my suburban and they had Crosswind MTs on them and I really liked them. Not noisy on road and we’re great off road. Building a over land vehicle now and they are what I am going to put on as they are priced right for me.
Running Kenda AT2 on my Jeep Compass and absolutely love them!
What's road noise like?
4.5 years on Kinati Trail Hogs I bought to replace the cheap car dealer tires and I Finely have to replace them ,. After over 4 years i can say these are great AT tires that have taken me up very rough rocky mountain trails and across soft muddy fields. These are not snow tires but do a fair job as long as the driver does theirs (be careful) I am not replacing them with another set of Trail Hogs as I do want to try another style and brand of AT Tire(Kumho at51) for my Ram 3rd gen 1 ton,. But Nothing Bad to say about Kinati at all, Great tires good Price, ......
Milestars are on point, had a couple of sets of the MTs on a TJ and JK and have a set of the ATs on my Gladiator right now
Just put Kenda klever rt 35x10.5 r17 on our 17 jku and i gotta say they are phenomenal 🙌
How are they holding up? How many miles now and what the tread depth.
I put on a set of 315/70r17 milestar patagonia mt on a year ago. I have no complaints.
Kuhmo Road Venture at51 stands up strong against the BF ATs that everyone likes to see on the Fiat based Jeep Cherokees, like mine....got a sport, lifted it, went up 2 sizes from the wagon tires it came with.......rides right now......well, that was about 80k miles ago.....but still riding smooth on the 2nd set of the Kuhmos, 60k solid, rotate on the oil change
I have a set of 5 mile star at's on one of my s-10 blazers and I love them
I have Kenda AT on my XJ and they are great!
I love my KENDA klevers. Best compound I’ve seen and most of my driving is pavement with nasty mud and rocks on weekends.
AT2s or RT?
40-13.50 xcomps here. Love them things
Great video as always
Thanks!
Been running milestar for 2 year very happy with them for the price
they lasted for two years ?
@@chrisruggieri7345 I'd hope so. tires can last a log time
Ironman all country MT tires got a set of 4 for $670 including shipping perfect for a high school guy like me with not much money.
Where did you get them?
Jacob Garcia 4wp
what size?
Austin Burcham04 31x10.5
35x12.5x18 for about a grand
I run them on an f150 and an f250 2years on both trucks 80% on the 250 and 50% on the 150. About 50k miles driven on my f150
I have a set of Milestar patagonia tires on my 99 XJ. It loves to go offroad, especially sand. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get stuck in sand.
Running a set of Federal Couragia M/T 35x12.50R20 on my JK. installed 05-2015 and have 60K+ miles on them. Not even down to the wear bars yet(they're close), will be putting new ones on this spring. Paid $1,100 including tax/shipping. Will definitely buy again. Get an adjustable track bar or brackets to center your axles and maintain proper tire pressure...tires will last a long time.
Getting ready to stick my second set of Federals. 35X12.5R15 on my JKU. Driven to TN and Southern MO to wheel from Iowa. Absolutely love them
How many years did they last ? How many miles do you drive a year ? I’m a salesman and drive easily 12k-15k a year and go off roading. If these can last me 4 years that’s a steal at $1,100 installed, that about $70 a year per tire
1. Gladiator
2. Kenda
3. Atturo
4. Milestar
5. Federal
Ordered milestar patagonia xt's
Would like you to do a comparison with thunder tires
I run Atturo Trail Blade MTs (properly balanced using the side wall color dots) and rotate every oil change. EXCELLENT TIRES AND LOOK BADASS!!!
Hey what do you mean by properly balanced using the dot colors? How do you accomplish this?
El_Guero_Efrain czcams.com/video/5WkOGwC1t24/video.html
@@h250riderswhen you buy new tires there’s usually a colored dot, I’ve seen yellow mostly, on the sidewall. When the rims are mounted you’re supposed to line up the valve stem with that dot to aid in balancing.
Right on thanks for replying. I had my tires mounted that way
I got some 33x11 nitto ridge graplers on the way, hopefully they're cool
I have 265/75r16 atturo trailblade mt on my 03 taco and I like em
I have had federal mud tires on my xj for 5 years now wheeling at SMORR with minimal wear and theyre great. Actually pricing more for my new tacoma !
You can see them in my profile pic!
Kanati trail hog at's badass tires for mud and snowon my 2015 ram 1500. Kenda klever mud terrains never got stuck in the mud on my old tj. Next tires will be the kenda klever at2.
I have the xcomp Gladiators on my welding rig the are not super loud but give the off road performance when I need it!!! I got all 6 for less than the price of two toyo open country.
Shit were did you get the 6 gladiator x comps at
@@richardr2925
I was working in Iowa got them at a small town tire shop there supplier wasn't going to carry them anymore.
Just recently swapped tires on my lifted Tundra from the Milestar Patagonias that still had at least 85% tread but were getting super sketchy in the rain to the Gladiator X Comp ATs. Man, what a difference they make! Already went through torrential rain, sloppy mud and hot asphalt and not only are they utterly quiet on road, but the grip is fantastic everywhere else too. Even better than all of that, I even picked up 2.5mpg just with the tire swap! I did a ton of research prior to purchasing in the '$250 per' segment and the Gladiators came in under that. The tread seems kinda soft compared to my last great set of Cooper SSTs that held a personal longevity record, but time will tell on that front. No complaints thus far, and I get to enjoy more throaty exhaust note and less tire noise to boot.
What’s road noise like?
I heard their vibration( shaking )after 80 km
@@karmanbhullar About as quiet as a normal radial surprisingly. I tend to get a very mild vibration when they're dead cold, but a mile or so down the road they get pretty smooth. It's hard to tell as one day on asphalt they're smooth as butter, then you transition to concrete and get a little bumpy, but you change lanes and it goes away, so road surface has something to do with it also.
Just bought these and don't have any regrets after reading this
I have a set of the Milestar Patagonia Mt really good and durable Tire 35
I am am running the federal rts and they have been great on and off road
Appreciate the feedback!
Ginell GN 3000 great in snow and all around tire
Excellent 👍👍
I'll stick with my Rt's
Lake Havasu 🔥
Can’t go wrong with them!
Atturo are good for a short period of time only. 55k mile warranty, my AT only lasted 19k miles.... Switched to Pathfinders
Dextero AT1 all-terrain tires at walmart for $80 apiece...$400 mounted and balanced. Smooth riding and no noise. Excellent grip, look great on my 98 Durango! And they are HEAVY LOAD rated, 50,000 mile tread
Nexen Rodian MT deserve a look too
37x12.50r17 milestar Patagonia on my ram 1500 been on my truck for 2 years now and still have good tread great traction and fairly quiet for the fact that they are mud tires. Would definitely get them again and wasnt disappointed at all
Are these good tires for daily driving?
@@RickySlatton i would definitely recommend these tires to anyone they dont try and throw you all over the road like some tires do. I drive my truck daily and dont really have a complaint on them at all. Nice smooth ride but ready to play at a moments notice
@@kenheimbachjr1901 any vibration at highway speed? @75 + miles?
@@RickySlatton i had my jacked up dodge up to 120 before i felt any shaky feeling, slowed down after 130. At 80 they felt similar to my Bf Goodrich all terrain, but off road i really like the milestar better.
@@RickySlatton i agree with gypsy mike.... i never had any issues with vibration or traction or anything i have tried to haul with weight been running on em for years now and on a 2500 now also and still not an issue at all no matter if im hauling something or pulling a trailer
I smashed the subscribe and now my phone is broken!😂
😁
Mud Claw tires are cheap, and fantastic
I JUST BOUGHT A SET OF KENDA TIRES. THEY INSTAL THEM ON THE 15TH. UNDER 650 BUCKS. RESEARCHED THEY QUITE A BIT. GLAD I TOOK THE HOP AND WENT WITH THEM. A LOT OF GOOD INFO ON THEM. I HOPE THEY WILL NOT DISAPPOINT. I WILL KEEP PEOPLE POSTED IF INTERESTED. I REALLY NEED THEM TO REPLACE MY MAY POP BRAND ON MY TRUCK RIGHT NOW.
Milestar is manufactured by Goodyear. It is the most reputable tire on the list.
Legit breakdown
Federal Courier / MT.... Great tires.
How many miles are they getting
Only one of these I’ve heard of was federal. And I don’t know of any dealer here locally.
(2006 crew cab silverado lifted 4")
My FEDERAL COURAGIA tires suck... 285 70 17...I rotate every 3000 miles and have good suspension. Tires still cupped and are so loud. They shake at 53mph and I've had them balanced a couple times. Idk if I just got a bad set or whatever but I'm not gonna buy these again. Bummer they do look awesome tho. I get many compliments on the look of them.
Probably a bad set. I've run the same Couragia tyres in the same size and got 60,000 miles on em
Atturo trail blade xt on an f350, 20k and still look new
I had had the Atturo Trail Blade ext for just about 2 years now and they are just OK. I wish I had gotten different tires tho. Snow and ice 5/10 offroad maybe a 7. I wasn't impressed. Ill leave them for the stretched over the rim diesel trucks. I am looking for different tires now even tho I still have tread life left. I started out with Nittos but Im going with the Kenda tires.
Check out amp and Hercules tires. Over ran Hercules for a while had a set of mts with 65k on them and still had probably 5-10k left when I replaced them. Also shoved something through a side wall on their ats and had zero issues with the road hazard covering it. They are decent priced and seem to be more durable than most. Outside of them I’ll only run nittos and toyo on my diesel. Cheap tires including the kenda was lucky to make it 35k before they are gone.
Curious of your take on Treadwright tires. I have been running them for a few years now with no complaints but also haven't ran them in anything as extreme as others might have. They've actually performed better for my needs then my klevers did.
Have not done enough research on the Treadwright's to offer a valuable opinion, but will definitely check into them. Thanks for watching! 😎🤘🏼
I don't want the best cheap tire.... I want the cheapest, chineesiest tie possible just to sell the truck in a couple months...
You must work at a dealership. Here's a hint, filter by price, low to high, and the one up top is the one you want.
This video seems like an advertisement for 5 tire companies as there isn’t any real objective info or testing in the video.
I am in the market for MTs, considering the thunderer trac grip (the most popular cheap MT on CZcams), the Milestar Patagonia, Kenda Klever, Atturo trail blade, Crosswind by LingLong and the Federal Couragia.
Many of these companies are on your video, I don’t feel like it is very helpful. I’m not trying to be negative, but provide constructive criticism.
I have noticed in the comments people providing their experience with some MTs made by these companies
Appreciate the feedback. From experience we can confidently say any of those options are good. Send me an email at thurston@trailbuiltoffroad.com and I can help narrow it down for you!
@@TrailBuilt I will take you up on that. Thank you!
Wait is this shot @ Fitment Industries????
Cooper AT3
I have a gmc 2500hd 4x4 currently have toyos at a they don't balance well after some mileage, any recommendations,I also pull heavy loads
I’m actually being serious with this question. Are all these tire brands made for Little, Lightweight with total more for Jeep’s, weak light vehicles like they were on video, What about Trucks? How are any of these tires I havnt heard of or probably pay attention to due to their street look and how they Wouldn’t. Make it at All during most of the year down here in Louisiana
I bought a gladiator and it has Thunderer MT tires on it. From the few vids I've watched on people giving reviews I'm skeptical about them. I'm getting rid of them because they are on 20 inch rims and I don't like 20 inch rims. Anyway have you ever heard of these tires? They say they are making their way up the ranks and is this true
I replaced my kenda klever mt's with milestar patagonia's on my jeep. I prefer the kenda's.
Thanks, this is a big statement
The underdog of mud tires
Another recommendation is Mastercraft M/T’s. Made by Cooper.
Had great luck with federal tires.
Running "mud claw EXTREAM" on my '15 jku. Little noise on the road, unstoppable off the road. $250 canadian each, realy inexpensive for the local market. I think they are made by cooper tires.
I can testify for the kenda klever mt.
Why dosen't anyone ever talk about Maxxis Tires? I have had several sets and they have been great. They perform great in the mud and snow and have good highway manners. I run a set on a single wheel F350 hauling campers for a living and lasted a long time and got me out of several bad situations.
Great suggestion, I don't think we have for any particular reason but it is definitely something we can consider for future videos!
I personally hate my milestar Patagonia’s for mud they suck. I got stuck in my backyard after a heavy rain 🥴 they wear fast and do not clean out well in mud
Can I call you and have you set me up for a wheel and tire combo for my 2022 Bronco OBX?
I've been looking at the kenda klever rt and the federal xplora rt's just wondering if one is better than the other? There isn't alot of info in the xplora's unfortunately.
Xplora RTs are hard to find information on.
Recently bought a Fronty Pro4X but with Pathfinder AT lt275/75R16. How capable are they or should I buy new tires for it?
They’re good on the street but they’re super super cheap tires. They’re the generic store brand for discount tire. Had a major structural failure on mine. The tread pretty much delaminated and will never use them again. Glad I never bought them, they came on my truck when I bought it. I’m super happy with my dick cepek trail country exp’s now. Went with those after about a month of research on what tire to get
Do you have any thoughts on the General Grabber X3 ?
Good, but not cheap
Maxxis for the win
Does the Load index of tyre (such as C, D, E) and number of ply (6,8,10) affects a footprint when you drive at 10-12 PSI? The harder the tire sidewall, the worse it flattens?
Not really. Difference would be minimal. More ply will mean it doesn’t damage as easily at lower psi so I would still run higher ply if you can
What about if I buy a lift kit and a tire and wheel package, how much would installation be? I’m disabled and not able to do the work myself.
Depends on the shop you are getting the work done at! I would say ball park is anywhere from $500ish to $1500+ for getting an installation done.
@@TrailBuilt Can you do the installation, would be buying from your shop.
Sorry for the delay! Sadly we do not do installations, it's something we have always wanted to offer but we do not have it available at the moment!
Break down on the new federals
The Xplora R/T's?
@@TrailBuilt yes the rt’s
Actual video starts around 3 minute mark.
Im a value guy. Different than being cheap, most high end things only get you a little more than the middle of road products that unless you are a professional or push the product to the limits, which most people don’t they just like look like they do. AKA posers.
Does anyone know if any of these are made in the USA?
no they aren't
Lost me when I saw this guy with his ears tucked in to the big billed "Bro" hat.
Wtf. I didn’t notice and now I can’t unsee. Is this a thing the bros are doing now. Hahahaha looks so damn goofy
Are the Falken At3w considered cheap?
Cheap in value or cheap in price?
both?
I have a set of the Falken AT3W and are holding up very well. Great tire for the price.
No!
Definitely not cheap but “cheaper”
Pretty late to the video my man these are all well known and proven in the off road world even in the mall crawler world
These are all low load index tires. So not for HD trucks.
2 min and 57 seconds of nothing before telling us the first tire brand... time is money, my dear, please keep it in mind in next videos 😀
Thx
Yeah make your own an show us how to do it mr knowledgeable!!!!!
i had to rev it up to 1.5 play speed, as narration was so slow
2 minutes and 20 seconds of my life saved
almost all of which i proceeded to lavishly spent on this comment
Are any of these American made cause I don’t mind spending alitte more to support Americans, but that’s just me .
Literally the same company as Custom Offsets....but why? Why different name, but same exact website design, almost same logo, and Literally the same address?? Makes no sense
Are any of these American made?
Lol 😆
No
I am sorry to admit but America doesn't make good and cheap. Even our auto manufacturers use more imported parts than Toyota.
hopefully you got permission to use video from Trailrecon for your video

None of these are cheap lol
I'm going to pitch up a new set of arivo rock trak M/T's on Saturday
A lot of waffle... Could get to the point a bit better
If it says Made in China on the sidewall, no thanks 👎
I bet most of everything you own is made in China
I am sure you spent lots of time with the fancy editing. But, I hardly saw any of the tires you talked about in the first 1/2. 0.0001 sec snap shots look cool, but are not informative. Flashy yes, informative, no.
