This is the basic difference I have observed in my country and in a foreign country in which I am living now. They make kids independent with variety of skills and motor training(eating, changing, shoe tie) is encouraged to be done by themselves from nursery.

Yes…. Here in Pakistani families they don’t let their kids grow up and they tend to be around their parents even after getting married. I had the same fate and I was amazed how irritating that was for me. Now my kid is growing up I remember my time so I let him go to do whatever he needs to be doing in his life and get things done. We don’t let our kids grow up and we like to hold them back and that creates do many problems for the parents, child and his or her spouse. Let them be because that’s their life and their time. Let them lives for heaven sakes. I learned that when I was young how my husbands parents didn’t let him do anything and we ended up fighting for our freedom to get a house and get our lifestyle. so same your kids wants for himself or herself. Letting go is not easy for Asian parents I know coz we are so controlling and super protective of our kids but that makes them suffocated and they don’t want that in their lives. Give them space and respect they will eventually come around if you’re responsible enough with them.

Salam. I request professor Dr. Javed Iqbal , to put efforts, in training couples, before they become parents. On , how not to trust any one ,who pretends to be trustworthy. And how to train their children .To protect them, from becoming the victims of child sex abuse . In my opinion, child awareness should be included in school's curriculum. This important issue needs to be brought, to the attention of school board officials .

Sir, your lectures are mashallah very nice. Please comment on this situation. If parents have given enough time to children from childhood till they are 9-13 years. Have given good education, got them gifts, have spent quality time, gave them moral, ethical and religious teaching with explanation.
Now when grow up and reach teen age, they say that the parents life style, their belief in religion or behavior with other people, or their belief in religion and prayer and telling children not to spend time on TV, mobile gaming, loitering with friends, coming home late is all wrong.
How can one handle such situation, and now kids are not ready to sit and discuss but avoid parents company. Please advice. Thank you🙏.
