- Today, I had the pleasure of visiting the charming town of Appenzell, a delightful place just two hours from home. The town is famous for its colorful wooden houses and intricately designed doors, each building exuding a medieval feel that transports you back in time. Wandering through the streets, I was captivated by the vibrant, picturesque architecture that makes Appenzell so unique.
Adding to the day's charm was a beautiful vintage car display, which evoked fond family memories and added a nostalgic touch to the visit. The blend of historic ambiance and personal nostalgia made this trip truly unforgettable. Appenzell is a gem of a town that beautifully marries the past with the present, making it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a quaint and memorable experience.

It looks like something out of a fairy tale. Just beautiful and the bells give it a more magical feel. I don't know anyone who's ever been to Switzerland so thank you Margaret for showing us this beautiful old world country 🌻

What a beautiful town. Love all the woodwork and paintings on the houses. I’ve been to Switzerland several times and especially loved the Bernese Oberland region. The towns of Lauterbrunnen, Mürren and Grindelwald are also very charming. And the Mountain View’s there, spectacular. Maybe you’ll get to visit that region sometime, although I don’t know how far away you live from there. Thanks for sharing Appenzell with us.
