    Even your body language is indicative of respect. Can't get enough of you and Carry Trainer. Honest, practical, no frills. Everything you have up so far I've at least had a gander at. Thank you for what you do! (Specifically Mickey's energy A+)

    When I tell you I am amazed by CZcams, I am so serious. Although I haven’t been able to get formal training, I have gotten into a scuffle, no firearms involved, and remembered something I heard from a video like this. In either this video or the one before, Todd said, “where the head goes, the body will follow.” That is absolute true and was the turning point in the altercation and ended with me being able to break contact and get out of there. Thank you to the ones who taking the time and effort to make these videos.

    I think the point that most are missing is that these techniques are A way not just the end all be all way. It's important to come at these ideas/skills very openly to soak it up as opposed to just throwing out suggestions with the but..but..but etc. AIM FOR KNOWLEDGE I say is key to soaking in the knowledge that others are putting out + added to what the circumstances bring as well. Keep doing you brother.

    I'd be curious to see if Todd has any specific techniques on retention for appendix carry.

    You can't pull the holster up how he demonstrates because 90% or more are carrying inside the waistband.

    • @TourProTraining
      @TourProTraining Před 2 lety

      I don’t know where you got the 90% figure from, but I travel around the world for a living and don’t see that. Appendix is the flavor of the hour in the US. Look up on the post to see appendix considerations.

    Sir
    Some of us are 60 plus already
    Do you have any thing that can keep us off the ground grappling on the ground after 50 things brake a lot easier I have a plate in me left arm and what you are talking about has been on my mind a lot more every day thanks Larry

    • @TourProTraining
      @TourProTraining Před 2 lety

      Larry…regardless of age (I’m the skinny guy in the video and almost 50) you want to avoid the ground. Number one thing to do that is environmental awareness and not going where problems commonly happen. After that you should learn some hand fighting skills.

      @cb.7814 Před 2 lety

      And, there are places that can teach you how to practice being difficult to take to the ground.

      Carry gel pepper spray as well as a gun. If someone is beating you up but you aren’t yet legally able to shoot, you would be able to pepper spray. Gel is nice because you could aim instead of indiscriminately spraying a possible surrounding crowd

    So what is the optimal carry position? For defending the firearm from an attacker in yours and Todd's opinion??

    • @CarryTrainer
      @CarryTrainer  Před 2 lety +2

      Well that truly depends. Holster type, clothing, skill levels of those involved.

    • @eane7238
      @eane7238 Před 2 lety +1

      No such thing.

    • @TourProTraining
      @TourProTraining Před 2 lety

      Figure out what works for your life and goals. Train what you think might be the optimal position. Try that style of carry for a few weeks. Think if X happens, can I still do Y in this position? If you don’t get answers that are acceptable to your mission, change the position and start testing again.

      @@CarryTrainer Well I know a guy that makes holsters. haha I carry at 4 IWB and OWB. Just didn't know if there was an advantage at 3 o'clock

    At 5:11 this is only problematic because of sport fighting subconscious conditioning of training with rules, you already have his head trapped with the right hand drive your left thumb through his eye at the nose and remove the eye ball.

    For all the cops here, reminder that Kyle Rittenhouse wouldn’t have been in Kenosha defending his parents businesses if cops had been allowed or chose to do their job regardless of orders. So when you’re the captain/chief/boss remember that. Americans will protect ourselves when you refuse or are restrained from doing so. You obviously believe you are better are protecting than citizens. Do what you believe. Uphold the constitution including the 2nd Amendment that you swore an oath to uphold.
