Unfortunately I'm a poor so these CZcams videos and a lot of dry fire practice are as close to a training class that I'll be able to take. The guys at my local range think I'm crazy cause for every shot I take I've gotten my sight picture at least 5 times. Maybe someday I'll get to work with mic and team but for now I just want to say thank you for putting these videos on CZcams to help me better learn the foundations of successful shooting!
I they're cool but I don't think these courses (in person) would help much. Maybe a one on one for a few days but just watching some videos and actually shooting alot will do it. You learn by doing, over and over. Trial and error. Holding a pistol should be as natural as holding a pencil.

Spoken like someone who has never taken a class from a competent operator/instructor in their life.
Tate, consider USCCA as a legal defense service which offers a lot of online training videos also (Carry Trainer has teamed up with them previously). We have a deep video library of training videos on our page that we compile for our students. It's just a collection of a lot of CZcams videos from multiple instructors but broken down in different categories of shooting fundamentals. Use what you like and discard what you don't. Definitely save some cash on the side and take an in-person class one day. These guys post their schedule online and you can see when they come to an area near you, would be worth the investment! Good luck in your training.
@@deeznutz3958 this is true
@@deeznutz3958 I agree with Dominic, personal experience is better than anyone elses experience. Ive never trained with an “operator” or whatever you mean, but someone like me learning on their own time and learning their own firearm is better than someone barking in your ear, i take advice when needed but i can pinhole shots under simulated stress.
Definitely, definitely you have evolved as instructor a big deal from your first classes Mickey. You look more confident, more assertive, more in command of the class. Kudos for a job well done sir.
Watch every single person milk their grip at 26 minutes after Mick says STOP THAT. This is why we train, to undo all of the poopie that we incorrectly self learn.
By far the best on CZcams, thank you so much for sharing, your work is outstanding
You don’t practice to get it right. You practice enough to where you cannot get it wrong.
Mickey and Team at Carry Trainer - Thank you so much for this gold of knowledge.
Brilliant instruction that also kept me highly entertained! You have a great Midwestern sense of humor, Mickey!
Thank You Mickey!!!
Dude I freaking love mick!
Ok, I can’t wait to work on this. Thank you for more tools!
30:00 I am grateful you mentioned getting fatigued doing dry fire drills. I use a SIRT for drills at home in the evenings. I didn't understand why I was getting tired at about 15 minutes. I thought it was due to my daily strength and endurance training, but each time I do dry fire training I am done mentally and physically about 15 minutes tops.
This guy's a great instructor.
Great information. I wish I lived near so I could take classes; these videos are absolutely great for me as a beginner. with note taking in mind, and practicing along ,dry shooting as I watch.
I learned a lot from previous videos , especially the grip .
When I first thought of getting a fire arm, I never really though of how complex it can be. I though there wasn't much though to it: pick up a gun, point and shoot. Then when I went shooting for first time and didn't even know how to grip a handgun ;I realized then that I wanted to learn everything about handling a gun safely and being accurate . So for what it is worth: thank you, these videos help.
👌🏽🤞🏿
Great stuff
Great job brother
Good lesson
Solid. Thank you Mick and the S12 Team.
More great content. For anyone attending a class I would recommend dry practice of administrative loads/unloads. 5 minutes a day for a couple of weeks makes a world of difference. That way, there are no on the firing line jitters loading your pistol while everyone is watching. Use snap caps and practice all your safety rules
In aviation safety protocols are written in blood.
Teaching Prudence to the ignorant is a service to God.
You're my gun guy! LOL Love your content! Please keep up the great work!
Whats the firing line distance for the 10 round accuracy drill?
Fantastic lesson as always.
Excellent presentation.
Im not gonna lie when he said 2 guys 1 target I started laughing too.
Administrative load..
"training is not just doing shit!". 🤣. Perfect!
Safety first
Ian is the grand prize lol
The gunshots sounds like popcorn popping lol.
wish there were some classes in the PNW area. Id WA or OR. would be excellent. finally able to get some super vel ammo. pricing isn't bad either. better then the wolf ,Tula and other steel cased crap I was getting.
Joe, they do an event in Shelton, Wa every summer. I need to make a trip there also. I think it's July 2022.
@@garyhamlin8885 Thanks I'll be waiting, see if I cant look it up and register ahead of the crowd. Live in Post falls
😂 CRYING LAUGHING 😂. Hand jobs? WELL! SHIT! I wanna take this class if I'm awarded, a hand job for shooting well. ' CRACKING MY KNUCKLES!' Sign me up.
I would love to see a video about the reset?! Do you think that riding along the reset on a trigger will be the best or Not!? Some instructors does not advice to do that while double tapping or rapid firing!!what's your Opinion...
“Riding the reset” is slower and can instill bad habits.
@@darkhorsefive0 i usually do not do that.. but i tried few times.. and that was my thoughts too ..
Does Ian use the stabbing or pulling technique because I might have to get in on one of these contests
Its so easy when there no duress.....what about Chicago scenarios???
18:35 And I took that personally
I have no idea who this guy is but i have to take this fn class😂
👍
Lucky bastard got it from Ian …
What was the distance for the group contest 3,5 or 7yards?
I'm pretty sure it's 3 yards
This guy really likes him self
deep breath hold 3 sec exhale fully and repete.. 2-3 time you will feel and hear (heart beat in your ears) it will slow and the shacking will slow as well...
Thanks.
"JUST your index finger Doc...Docs moving the pleasure finger...DOC, JUST the index finger" lolol
I want to be a instructor I know I can be the best at this
Mick I think it should be law that if u carry a firearm you have to take your course. It would help so many people and save so many lives no shitting at all.
Boeing 737 Max has entered the chat
Any guitar players out there? Notice your fretting hand has a better grip/finger control? May be a good idea for those finger exercise gadgets for the dominant hand.
The pros can squeeze a polymer gun so hard the their grip changes the shape of the gun.
Hand job from Ian? I'd have shot a 36" group. 😆
Im all about the gay unicorn wheres those videos😂😂😂
Anytime he press checks or scans over his shoulders to check on other students (to simulate checking for other threats). He draws your attention to it as he teaches those tasks, and haters complain and ridicule.
And now you know how much he cares.
23:42 “or Black”
If you think JetMechs take that much care 🤣🤣🤣. My buddy JetMech would beg to differ..... But I know what you are trying to say.
In all the people you have shot..... how many rounds did it take?

Hey bro,
I'm an avid follower and enjoy/learn from your content and would very much like to attend one of your training sessions. However, I'm not very mobile... won't get into details now. Can I still "participate" in your class. By the way I'm located in Charlotte.
Best bro,
Darrin
And still a lot keep wiggling their hands after every shot. Especially their left. Why?????
does all of this change from a wheelchair?
I got so many weapons but I can’t find any ammunition 🤭🤦🏾♂️😩
Thank you that’s probably my best option. Because all the Gun store shelves I’ve visited are bare☹️

Thank you ✌🏾

The blond had 2 instructors. Attention to details
Point and hip shooting for defense? yep.. Jordan? who cares? After 60 years of shooting I have no clue what 90% of what you are saying means. I think it means you are making money. I would not trust a one of your students to draw and fire from the hip or point shoot from a man 6' away at a parking garage or from the nightstand in the dark... THE DARK from sleep I keep a 1873 Colt clone with FIVE rounds of 44 special... It points exactly like you would point your finger... no sights needed or available at night. I also have a 870 Remington 12 gauge with 8 rounds. but? be honest.. 5 rounds of 44 special 250 grain SWC cast loads will stop? everything I hope you make a fortune and do not hurt to many people
I love ur videos mick, but ur cussing alot lately. Ur better than that.
He is aloud to do and say what he wants. You think he cares if you watch or not? He doesn’t . If you don’t like it , watch someone else.
@@anonymousone_of_many768
He is indeed “aloud”, but. And he’d be better off to clean up that filthy mouth. It adds nothing to the class.
I have to agree. I don't know how the young ladies in the class feel about some of his language, but this American male is a little offended by it. I don't consider myself someone that clutches their pearls at the drop of an oath, but I just rather not hear its@@small-town-southern-man3573
Your perverted comments were distracting.
Some of the info was useful but the instructor was overly vulgar and kind of obnoxious.
I noticed that too. I've watched most of his vids and by far this one was different.
That is one of Micks characteristic. Either he doesn't know how to use non vulgar words to make a point. (dick point down!) There's many other gunners who can make the same point as he does without cussing.
Y’all don’t like it then don’t watch!! Pretty simple . Stop complaining!!!!! Cry babies !!!!
Well, sunshine, we're 5 minutes into the presentation and you are still all about your own gas. Get over yourself! Have facts? deliver them. Do you? People pay you for this? In my end of the coaching business you'd last one session.
Great instruction, terrible language.
Cannot stand your language Dude. Clean it up
You do t like it , do t watch ! The world doesn’t revolve around you 👌 ok !
If you cannot stand language, it's no one else's problem. The problem is in you. Figure out what it is inside of you that gets triggered when you hear things you dislike or disagree with, and address it so that you aren't triggered by words, so that you can get value from the lesson instead of feeling offended by how the lesson is presented.
So many people these days are offended by everything and expect that everyone else should change to keep from offending them. Maybe they should grow a pair and stop allowing words to ruin their day...
This guy made 4 awkward gay jokes in first 5 minutes. I’ll just go check a different channel. 😬 cringe
