Great video as always 👍 a lot of food for thought. I totally agree you can't just watch a video and think you know everything you need to know. The video is step one in the training process, step two is implementing the process and step three is refining the process for your weapon, body and capability. Step four repetition, repetition, repetition.

Thanks Mickey for another awesome video! I personally do not like revolvers, but thanks to Instructors like you I'm able to see and accept weak points of semi autos... and then deal with them.
I've been seeing few videos where you block the slide from reciprocation with bare hand. I'm wondering how many shooters trust their pistols and tried this already. 😆
    BTW, very concealable G19 😂

Excellent video Mick shows people other situations that could arise where You need to use your gun! It also lets you know what can or could happen and stresses the danger over and over as it should. So if You do this drill or a similar drill You be super aware and know Your weapon! I will say this it is not a drill for a novice! Way to go Micky thanks!👍

a while back i did a 13 gun pass or fail contact shot video, some pistols have barrels you can jab with, for example a 22 buckmark you can punch jab plus get extra penetration, so when you see like ballistic gel tests a contact shot pushes in and compresses allowing deeper penetration, although the guns that failed the contact shot you can still sometimes pull back the pistol for a shot but when your on your back and close quarters its not easy to pull back pistol when slide may be grabbed and seconds matter, this is why some police officers even have a little revolver for back up knowing he could press a contact shot any where and be able to defend himself. the micro pistols we have today the RMR or optic are a way to keep gun out of battery, easy to grab so while some who have failing eyes or see another benefit of a RMR its still something to consider, also simulations of ways to get out of a gun grab may look like it works in a martial arts studio but its a controlled environment because you know in the studio ahead of time to be ready to respond, also the guy taking the gun has no adrenaline or the guy struggling to retain the weapon not having full speed or strength as a real adrenaline dump and its on a mat in a wide open area, gun grabs dont always happen in a wide open area with plenty of room but in a crowded space in a car, backed up in a corner of a building or it can be like a "gun fight in a telephone booth" thats where guys like Craig douglas come in and have some nice ideas and easy to retain short handle knives where you can clear your self up a couple feet using the knife and then be able to access weapon to be able to shoot. in my 13 gun video i show the how some guns can be flipped around if out of ammo and used to club someone, preferably a full size heavy metal gun like a 1911, browning backmark 22, revolver with a longer barrel and even a full size 32 acp auto import being all metal and good weight for strikes, but these are being used that way to allow you space again to reach for your back up, you have a spare tire for you car so have a spare gun as a backup

training your class on "limited resources" is good to, you intentionally reduce amount of ammo in their semi autos to 5 rounds for a drill to represent a 5 shot revolver, or as you said bring revolvers back and get a class going. the concept behind limited ammo is to teach us never to take our ammo capacity for granted but shoot better and use ammo more wisely, i call it "limited resources stress training" forcing you to make the best with what you got. "your only out gunned if you miss" "take your time in a hurry" "speed is fine but accuracy is final" when you think about how many 9 mm have been shot not hitting kill zones for the sake of speed trying to beat a timer its a shame to think of the waste or even the cost, every shot should count and we shoot it right first and then pick up the speed, think about what we waste even in food, same with ammo we burn up 9 mm or 22 rounds just crazy rapid fire with out even taking time to devolop accuracy skills at all distances making each shot count and having a sense of not wasting resources in a constitutional crisis because we may need that ammo, the goverment has theirs no matter what but we can deplete our resources and having to pay real money where as government can create money that doesnt exhist to pay for theirs
