- Playing in a 1960 Vintage Go Kart called the Tin Lizzy - Pretty fun and dangerous toy.
Have you ever wanted a go cart that looked and drove like a Model T- this thing is a joy to look at and a Hoot to ride. Full rack and pinion steering - function leaf spring front end- forward and reverse.
The Tin Lizzy Go Kart is Parade mans dream and a kids roadster.
Watch hotdog and blow the main drive rim off. Wood wheels make for authentic road side service.
Those tin lizzie go karts look like an absolute blast!
yeah.. they are great!
We own one just like it. Pretty awesome fun for the kids in parades... Good luck finding the wooden spoke wheels.
dmerth I had to get a lathe and some hardwoods. I plan on casting some metal ones.
there is a supplier in Kansas City that owns the rights to the the parts for the entire car. (McDounnogh Car - later renamed Snapper - mowers). He sells the metal ones for a fair price.ll the parts are readily available for these carts. Bike America in Kansas has a large inventory of parts for the Sharp Mini T's, and the original McDonough Tin Lizzies. The 800 number no longer works. Call 913-381-5431 ask for Gary in the Sharp Mini Car Division.
dmerth I bid on the last aluminum pair I saw on eBay. Over a year ago now. Final bid north of 400 for two. !!!!! it was nuts
If my memory serves me, you will not pay nearly that much... call them
Good Luck. Happy new Year!
Have the same car and was doing the same thing. Had the wheel break. Made new spokes and she is still going to this day.
