@Kermit Sweet Tea - I wish I could agree with you, but scammers aren't stupid so much as they're opportunistic predators, preying on the gullibility of unschooled and trusting victims. It is sad, but it is also a fact of life in this computer dependent society.
Teach your friends, teach your family (especially the elderly who are usually not well experienced with computers) about unsolicited phone calls that involve money.
Even I almost fell for the IRS scam and while I'm no genius, I am a relatively intelligent individual. But in my case I was distracted, dealing with the recent death of my mother and administering her estate. Fortunately, I had access to my mother's lawyer who advised me to ignore them.

Awesome video man, my grandmother was scammed out of a lot of her retirement money by scammers, once she realized what was happening she called her bank and was able to freeze one of her bank accounts and they couldn't get to that one. They actually called her back pissed off and cursed her out.. she cried for over a month over it. she was also on a fixed income so this could very well have ended her lively hood, and they couldn't care less. It angers me to see them have a group of people who are all on fixed incomes to scam.. these scammers have no soul. I will never feel pity for these guys.. please keep doing what you're doing. Those people you call to stop them from going through with it can save other peoples grandparents the same heart break and devastation. thanks man, will keep donating to you for as long as you do this. For my Nan.

@@Drealmers I think, in this case, Matt is aware of the reputational damage that these scammers do to his country, and wants to dissociate himself from those fellow Indians - and that's okay.
That said, it is very noticeable on another channel that I frequent how often Indian commenters make a point of _telling_ us that they're from India even though it has no bearing on whatever they're saying, and I suggest to Matt to avoid making a point of announcing his nationality when it doesn't matter because too much of it comes across like nationalist attention-seeking.

Your idea about playing loud noises at them really does work. I’m retired, so I’m at home all day while my wife is at work, teaching. I got tired of these calls all day while I’m trying to solder or program.
To that end, I 3D printed a 118db whistle. When I receive the call, I start blasting them over and over.
The really dedicated ones last seven or eight blasts before they can’t take it any more.
I consider it a success if I hear: “Fu**ing a**hole!” just as they hang up 😂.
The number of calls I get has dropped precipitously.
    Thanks for what you do.
