funny thing is, in Beat Saber, the hitsounds actually aren't timed to when you swing. the game tries to sync them with the music, which can lead to some weird situations where you hear hitsounds but missed

Sound space is super fun once you get to the actual harder stuff, theres also a bunch of graphics settings you should toggle to make it less disorienting and easier to see, theres also a downloadable fps unlocker for roblox which is useful for higher refresh rates.

my friends kept on forcing me to play sound space and I got so fed up that we'd have 2 hour long calls of them shouting sound space stuff while I'm on the side trying to play osu in peace

hard Jump maps are really hard to read and thats what the colors are for.
The next time you play it *if you ever will* make sure to spectate some pro players, they can kill your eyes. (turn around in the song selection)

I found osu before but I for some reason like sound space more. I’ve played a lot, like 500 hours.
sound space has had a lot of work put into it over the years. i was honestly disappointed by her reaction to it. i don't think she gave it a fair shot.

About Sound Space tho
If you want a good sound space experience then disable all the stupid sfx effects (or your eyes wil die before your hand) in the settings also you can change the note speed there. The gameplay can be confusing so you have to adjust your DPI/sensitivity so you dont swing all over the place and disorientate yourself. It gets more rythm-game'y when you get to the harder levels.

in ro-beats you can actually change collors in auto generated musics by activating that setting and pressing space!
i have a helpful hint, lower your sens very low, (to a point where its still playable) and it will help greatly with motion sickness and etc

Is soundspace there's an option called halflock, which keeps the screen mostly still while you can move the mouse around.

i played piano tiles a really long time ago. It had no ads, and it was much less grindy. I miss that. It became horribly ad ridden the instant it became popular.
games been updated since now and its the same type of game but camera system has a lock option. so it kinda turns into osu without holds or clicking in general

In Ro-Saber theres a couple charts where you can press space to change the color.

@tokaku new update half lock / full lock (camera don’t move when moving cursor/can be find in settings)
you should try the updated version of sound space (it has half lock (basically movement of the border but no full spin) and full lock (like half lock but no border movement))
you should try this again! It has a static camera setting, and is a lot different

You can actually play ROBLOX in VR if you find a compatible game. I don't remember if this is the game, but an example for a VR compatible game in ROBLOX is VR Hands if I had that correctly. Also, Sound Space now is VR compatible for some reason. (It's currently an ongoing WIP)

[Edit] now i feel sad on your negative opinions on sound space. Its okay though.
Suggestions to make the gameplay better: Turn your camera speed down to your comfort. It helps. You can also change the note speed on Sound Space aswell. I wouldn’t classify Sound Space as a Geometry Dash kind of game since when you map the charts, you use a BPM, and a grid to make sure each note is exact. The charts that have a bunch of ghost notes are just... not mapped very well.

Try the game called vulnus, it's like sound space
If you watch skilled people play sound space, the reason they have multiple colors is so that you can actually see which notes are next. If it’s all one color, it’s very disorientating since it’s moving so fast that you can’t tell what’s next. Usually 3 color skins are best, since it shows an actual order instead of alternating for staying one color. Also yes, it’s VERY disorientating for new players, speaking from experience. But once you get used to it, your skill level can go up pretty high.
