- Baby Koalas that have lost their mothers need to be fed a special marsupial formula. The koalas in this video are old enough to eat eucalyptus leaves too, but still need the extra nutrient rich supplement for their fast growing little bodies. It's different from normal milk as koalas are lactose intolerant and if fed milk they will become very ill and even fatal. Bottle time is one of the great joys of being a koala carer. Most koalas soon learn to love the bottle and many have funny and adorable habits. Look for the tongues and flicking ears in this compilation we put together of babies at bottle time.

Cute as they are, koalas are a mistaken lot. Although being marsupials (like their cousins, kangaroo, wombat and possum), they're often mistaken to be bears, which are mammals and vastly different.

Major cuteness overload!😄😄 The lady feeding two at once certainly had her hands full, lol! It's great to see them because then you can see the babies' different eating styles. Some are greedy little pigs; some take their time. Some are "Messy Marvins"(the tagline from an old Hershey syrup commercial from the 80's); some are very dainty and neat. But they're all just so dratted adorable!💖💖💖💖🐨
Now, here's a dumb question: do koala babies have to be burped after being fed like human babies do? Do they get gas bubbles?
No, is the answer, no burping but they do get hiccups occasionally.
@@deechh61 oh, dear! Well, we all get hiccups ! That has to be annoying, cos they can't hold their breath like us. Oh, well, I'm sure nature figured out some way to help them get rid of hiccups! Seeing all those sweet babies was wonderful!

@@edwardcarter31 thank you kindly. I've just seen so much sadness lately with the koalas in particular it's ripping me to pieces. I've always loved koalas, and I just hate feeling so helpless. Its even worse right now because I'm down with a sinus infection, so it's just making me more unhappy and helpless. I need something to cheer me.

Awww so cute but so sad that these beautiful little kaolas lost their moms in those horrible bushfires. Thank you for recurring and caring for them.. They will be the future to keep the kaolas from going extinct. Hopefully anyway.

I hate all those idiots who comment how cute and adorable koalas are. This lack of respect for wild animals because they have fluffy fur is exactly the reason why so many of them die as they are not properly cared for when in distress as in the recent bushfires..
