Clifton the Joey goes into the BIG Aviary

- Clifton the orphaned joey is growing fast - he's now 1.3kg (2.8lb). He's becoming more active and inquisitive every day.
This video shows his first time out in the big aviary where he can stretch his legs and practice climbing around on the branches. Learning all the skills he'll need to be released back into the wild in several months time.
He'll still be sleeping in his nursery enclosure with his Teddy (a substitute for his mum 😢) and has a little sleeping bag (a substitute for his mum's pouch).

Very skilled for such a tiny fellow: the way he saved himself from falling. But that leg-climbing really HURTS! He is so beautiful; warms one’s heart. The thought that another fire season could cause extinction of koalas is horrifying. It cannot be allowed to happen.
