Patients often wonder how it takes to see their results after laser skin resurfacing, particularly after fractional skin resurfacing. The results are really seen in two phases. As you heal immediately from fractional laser skin resurfacing, when I say immediately I mean after a week or so of healing, you see some immediate changes in the texture and quality of your skin. Your skin is smoother. Many of those superficial lines and wrinkles are removed and the skin is relatively free of blemishes and imperfections.
However, there's really a second phase of healing and that second phase of healing takes four to six months and in some cases six to 12 months. What's happening during this time period is that in response to the fractional laser skin resurfacing, the body is creating new collagen, new elastic, new reticular fibers in the skin. It's building up the collagen and the strength and the elasticity of the skin so there's improved tightening and elasticity over time. Initially, we see a lot of changes in the superficial layers of the skin in terms of lines, wrinkles, and imperfection, but over six months to a year, we get increased collagen production and tightening of the skin. It really can take up to a year until you see your final results from fractional laser skin resurfacing.

Good to know! Another curiosity, in how much time you are allowed to do another session of CO2? It s ofer after 2 months from the first session? Or you should wait and let the skin to the job and heal before another one?thank you
