I just finished the game yesterday. It may have unseated Earthbound as my favorite game of all time. It is such a magical experience. I hope it gets the recognition (and sales) it deserves. I would love to see what a third installment could look like!
Genuinely the best game I’ve played in years. Absolutely addicting and I cannot put it down. The stories, the characters, THE OST!!! the gameplay and exploring, trying new combinations of parties jobs skills and equipment… the beautiful 2D art!! Just one of the best game I’ve played in years, I haven’t had this much fun in a game in so so long. Beautiful game!! Please release the digital OST for the IS!!
I bought it yesterday for 59.99 it's a masterpiece but the textures loading in and out in the ice tress etc is annoying.. please fix textures rendering

I just don’t enjoy the 8 different stories part. I’dd rather have 1 big story where everything is connected and there is plot progression and character development with the whole crew.
Octopath forces you to play all stories, not just the storylines you are interested in. Add in the fact that the cast doesn’t interact in each other’s stories, and I can’t really be interested in a second go around. I’d rather buy 8 separate games with characters I like than octopath with one or two, but forced to play the story of 8.

Well they're remaking Dragons Quest 3 that's similiar like Octopath (and other HD-2D games like Triangle Strategy and Live A Live).
