I really like these sort of "stand alone subjects" videos you create, Alvin. You make videos around a certain theme such as a journey or event like CNY or Asialink Sketchwalk but also these little gems.
But these subjects have their own charm. People just walk by such items but you are giving it some of your artist attention.
Also living in such a dynamic, vibrant city like Singapore, you simply can turn a corner and the subjects are all over to choose from. Unlike here where I have to drive at least 20 miles to find something interesting to sketch. So, nice one! I've enjoyed it very much 👍😀
Thank you for sharing that. It helps that Sg is small and doesn’t really go further than 20 miles. So it puts me in a spot where I’m highly tuned to looking out for places of interest in a given 100m.

The only thing it does is just pick up the coffee from the coffee machine and put it at the window. Why not just make a coffee vending machine
You are absolutely right. :) But they have packaged it well!
Hmm that is what I tot so too. Unlike the Taiwanese version which is really a barista which can even do latte art. SG indeed is not a technological powerhouse.

Amazing what people are amazed by (especially the investors that out money into this). There’s nothing premium about a latte made using a super automatic machine that you find in the breakfast buffet area at hotels. Show me a robot replacing a real barista and then I’ll be impressed. The skill set a trained barista brings to a gourmet coffee shop (not Starbucks) cannot easily be replicated by a robotic arm.
One last note. They show a real latte (with latte art) in the menu but what you get is complete opposite. False advertisement since I’m pretty sure what came out of that thing is nothing close to premium beverage.
You are absolutely correct. It's like a printing machine that makes art. At least I got to enjoy the coffee and the sketch :)
