    *This battery reconditioning program exceeded my presumptions. It worked on any drill battery, several AA and AAA batteries, **batery.repair** and any camera battery. The steps are simple and the act itself is exciting to do. No matter what type of battery you`ve got, it is sure to function again!*

    Making use of the czcams.com/users/postUgkxcJ22tnHH9l1vjdIdEIG27iOG55P7LXI8 reconditioning plan, I just saved 2 auto batteries from being completely junked. The guides were very simple to follow. I wish I would have found this years ago! You may use the guide to recondition any battery type

    I just now was reading up on lead recycling; one thing I saw, in poor countries, were where peoole were doing this process "informally", pretty much in their backyards...
    Suffice to say, seeing a plant where the soil is safe around it, where the workers wear ample protection at all times while handling the lead, and where most of the dangerous work is done by machines... It just feels extremely reassuring.

    Actually I work for one of these plants in the US and the process is amazing. The treatment to meet customer specifications demands a lot of knowledge and concentration because if you want to reduce costs you have to control temperature and consume constantly... IT'S AWESOME!!!

    I am chemist and have worked with some really damned nasty crap (chromium compounds, extremely caustic/acidic/oxidizing substances like Piranha solution etc) but would absolutely hate to work in a place like this. The lead exposure in some of those jobs must be very high, and I'd want at least 1-monthly blood tests to monitor my lead blood levels.
    Also how about the guy in that pit of batteries driving the excavator thing? I wonder how he likes breathing acid vapors all day.

    That is not correct, these buildings operate under a negative pressure and all the air is filtered through sophisticated bag houses to capture and purify as much airborne pollutants as possible. I have visited this plant and its truly amazing, everything is recycled including the acid which is recaptured and used for laundry detergent additives and converted to sodium salts, and the plastics too.

  • @OffGridInvestor

    I question "99% of lead" being recycled. MANY MANY things with small sealed batteries just completely go into landfill with the batteries still in them. not to mention the solder in electronics, although there is a major shift to lead free solder esp. because the EU won't allow importation of electronics that DOESN'T have lead free solder.

But tell me HOW MANY yuppies go and take the back off these rechargeable lanterns and kids toys to rip the SLA batteries out? there is a very low recycle rate here in australia. in fact people throw lead acid batteries out on the side of the road, and TVs even though one place locally would pay you $7 for an old TV.

      thegenrl maybe wishful thinking. Or the amount of batteries made in the states versus the amount of lead put in for recycling. Which wouldn't make sense because of the huge amount of batteries made elsewhere (like china).

    Bismuth is not toxic. Some people are now using it in shotguns for hunting because it's not toxic like lead. Down side it's more expensive.

    • @bgjb-r1499
      @bgjb-r1499 Před rokem

      More expensive? Depending on when you buy, it can be 4 times the cost and other times 6 times more expensive. So, you can buy a box of ammo with lead shot for $4 a box or you can save the environment by paying $24 for a box of tungsten shells!! Sort of like buying a battery operated car that averages 48mpg for 80K or a gas operated car that gets 35mpg for 25k. Your homework is to figure out how many years it will take to break even assuming you put 18k miles a year on your car.

No more elections. we'll set our destiny and you'll take it."
