I experienced the "overview" effect while doing the Space Explorers: The Infinite VR experience in Montreal in October - it was so profound it moved me to tears. Admittedly, I've been slow to embrace VR tourism (how can it possibly compare to visiting a real place?), but that VR experience won me over, probably because it's the closest thing I'll ever experience as far as going to actual space (also, astronauts making eye contact with you while telling you a story is a bit surreal). Well executed overall (even getting the goggles is part of the experience) - they've thought of every detail from start to finish. Was definitely worth the tens of dollars they charge you for it 😆
