Fun video! I like the sense of humor between all the bros lol. On the shoes; running shoes are so expensive that I can't replace my 3 prs of very worn shoes. So one of the pairs are being used for pavement running since the tread is quite worn, the other two pairs have worn tread but not as bad so still using them on the dirt trails. I have no choice and figure, if I want to run I have to do what I need to. Color coordination is key for speed haha :)
About the trail shoes being used on road, I avoid it. I feel kind of hurt when I see people wearing Hoka Speedgoats along the promenade in here. Or maybe they have a one-does-it-all for the trail and also road, it could be but.. I agree also in the Spring gel flavour, it´s my favorite too. Such fun that trail route with your brothers. I still remember from a previous video in which there was more snow :) Cheers!
Lots to respond to but important thing first: colour coordinated = 8.3% speed increase. Minimum. The family runs have both (I think it’s 2) been a lot of fun to watch. Taking my trail shoes on the road isn’t a concern. Some of the hardpack, rocks, shale, etc HAS to be tougher on the shoes than the occasional bit of pavement. Right?
I think your speed increase calculations are spot on! 😆 Running with great company whether it's family or friends (old friends and new friends alike) is always enjoyable. As always, thanks for watching and for your support!!!

Looks like an awesome trail to share some miles with the brothers!
I had a great time! Sharing the miles with my brothers (2 of my 3 brothers) was amazing!
Welcome to Utah! The Sandy and Draper area have lots of nice trails!
It's great! The next day (after this run) we ran up Bells Canyon to the lower falls. Love it!

Yah, a couple years back, we ran a similar route in a foot of snow. Fun times! This time the weather was much nicer, and I had such a great time.
