The aesthetics and vintage vibes of these watches bring back to memory my childhood when things were simple and people were humans.
That’s right, Inspector. You only had a few solid options and choices were easier to make. Like ordering from a single tab menu vs a five page back to back menu book. Now look at the SKX catalog and there are more than we can imagine.
nice video my 94 7002-7000 NOS condition never worn I love this design
6105, 6309 and 6306 will always be the most collectable early Seiko..............says he with several of each in my colection. all I need is a 300M 1968 model
no the Teal 7548 sell for thousands and were only $350 when new
I would like to add that the 7002 bezel is also 60 click only and unlike 6309 and SKX the insert slopes inward into the dial. That cream looking lume on one of them is the one to have just because it looks better but it's rare compared to the more greenish hue. The 7002 line is also the one that has so many lume variants as Seiko was experimenting all the time, that's why there are many speciments from white, green, and cream. The 7002 is I believe the first to have a polished hand set unlike the 6309-729(x) series, which were brushed. They're great watches and the 7002 movement is superior in terms of longevity and performance regardless of it having some "plastic" parts compared to the 6309.
Interesting. Thanks for sharing this information. I thought it was relumed since I also have seen a bunch of 4205 medium diver’s with bad lume like the 7002. The cream looking lume still glows a bit in the dark, so I just presumed it was a re-lumed dial. Sounds like Seiko was selling prototypes during those times with the different type of lumes. I agree, the movement is on par with the 6309 in longevity.
@@KirbyYoung I would suggest looking up 7002 on Spencer Klein's channel czcams.com/video/K0OYPm_DgPg/video.htmlsi=CY3482JxLnNaXgd9 and also czcams.com/video/FxUVsg5racc/video.html
Nice, love the dedication bro. I thought you stopped at the LX and MM300 line, but I guess there's more! Those are great beat-up modern day classics! he he. Keep it up.
Thanks bro! Just giving these vintage watches some spotlight of their own. And yeah these watches are great beaters. 👍
Appreciate your dedication and passion to show the different versions. I just bought the Pepsi international version, it’s under service now.
Thanks for the kind comment. Hope you get to wear yours soon!
I recently bought a Seiko 7002 diver from eBay and I love it! Put a new solid link bracelet on it along with a new coin edge bezel, and a new black insert. Also planning on installing a sapphire crystal on it!
Nice! Glad you found some old gems. These can be modded easily like an SKX. I think the glass has some kind of metal O holder, looking forward to you getting a sapphire.
You forgot to mention the position of the crown on 7002 , it's place in the exact 4:00 like the 6309 while the skx was in 3:45. 7002 is great and reliable watch 6309 has more flatter back it sit nice to my wrist. 7002 dial has more depth in appearance because of the taller chapter ring its nice to look at especially when it caught the sunrise..
Good observation. Both the 7002 and 6309 are reliable vintage dive watches. Which 7002 do you own?
