When Jason was talking about the solar time device, it reminded me of a book I read years ago called Uriel's Machine. It took the story in Enoch and applied it. It is basically instructions on how to make a henge that follows the solar cycle. I haven't tried it (heck, I had forgotten all about it until just now), but they had all the maths and documentation of the experiment in the book and it all looked legit. I don't remember if it was written by scientists, though.

In the teachings of the Way, Enoch was the 3rd of the Seven Signs, or Sons of Man. This is why he is often associated with the numbe 3, being the third of the Seven. He is also known as Marduk, amongst his names. His place in the narrative, and those of the previous Sons of Man, were edited out by what later became the mainstream Jewish religion, as they were part of a philosophical following that opposed blind belief and gods, but baxame deified after their deaths. Even so, Enoch-Marduk was preserved by the likes of the Salt Sea/Dead Sea community at modern day Qumran, and that of the Ethiopic peoples, who were both separate from the mainstream Jewish religion by the time of Jesus. The confusion about Enoch's multiple names, is that he, like many ancient kings, had multiple names.

Jude is likely psuedoepigraphical. Judas, who was called Dumas, brother of Jesus, left the Near East around 52 AD and was not heard about until 1000 years later. The gospil of Jude was written between 60 and 75 AD.
The person you should be critical of is the Rabbi, he’s the one who is saying Jews would never follow Jesus, and yet Christianity has all the references in their text that directly come from mystic Judaism. Rabbi Singer is essentially saying that only pharisetic Judaism was real Judaism. Yes, it’s true, the pharisees and Sadducees were less than 20% of all forms of Judaism, and mystic Judaism was not a majority either, but there were at least as many mystics running around as there were pharisees.
The thing is that of these mystics each had their own vision of what Judaism was and only a minority were close enough to align with Yeshua. We know that Jews were Jesus followers, we know this because they were kicking Paul’s ass, and because from them we have the variety of post crucifixion Jesus sects that appeared. The only truely Yeshuan/Johanan movement that matters are the Evyon and the later Ebionites and Nazoreans. Even so the Ep. of James was translated, edited and redacted.
These texts, Ep. Jude, Ep. 1 Peter, Ep .2 Peter, the 6 pseudo Ep. Paul, Ep. 1-3 of John, Gospel of John, Revelations. Much of this material came out of the post ostacization community of Ephesus. All of this stuff is Christians getting high on ecstatic mysticism, a fair number of these texts are inspired by shrooms. They were probably reading Jewish text not found in the synagog. Paul was a mystic. These people believe they can write the words of Jesus and the disciples because they have a mystical experience of that person, these are delusions.
According to some the Syrian “Christians” only followed Matthew or Luke, tore out the birth narrative. These Jews did follow a Christianity, just not the christianity the Rabbi is so fond of cursing. Later they forced to convert or leave.
There is nothing wrong with mysticism or mystics per say. This is not my point, but the value of mysticism is of little use to theism except in the ecstatic context, and many religions make a point of saying visions of heaven, god , Jesus, the prophets, thrones, etc are spiritual delusion (true both in Judaism and Orthodoxy). This is self contradictory, so they must have a very good reason for saying this. Ecstatic visions will almost always be misinterpreted, the problem is these are no different from any flavor of the occult. No matter we’re you see these, in Ezekiel, Isaiah, Daniel, Paul, Ep. John, Acts, Enoch, or Revelation you immediately need to treat the source of that material as delusional. Mysticism does not create theism, it creates a sense of the inner divine, projecting visions on others is invariably cultic and results in oppressive religions. The Yahwist stomped out the Elohimic beliefs, they even coopted the meaning of the word Elohim into a false meaning.

It’s not plagiarism but it’s like Armageddon and Deep Impact. It’s obvious that Deep Impact caught wind that another studio was making an asteroid movie and wanted to get in on the hype. It’s appropriation. If I want to tell a hero story, all the hero stories I’ve heard will influence what I write.
If I want to create a demigod narrative I’m gonna make him born of a virgin, a prophesied birth, under a star in the east, kings will try to kill the baby, etc. because that’s what all the demigod narratives that people are familiar with. If I want my demigod to catch on, I need to make it familiar to the masses.

1Enoch is plagiarism of the teachings of Hermes Trismegistus [Thoth] known in Alexandria when the Septuagint was translated, and after Julius Africanus produced his Sethian theory, the book represented a contradiction because of its 'fallen angel/Watchers' theory, so from about 200 AD it was banished and went out of circulation with Augustine of Hippo's blessing. The fallen angel theory was an interpretation of Genesis 6, that was common due to a loss of knowledge after the library of Alexandria was burned. That was 200 years after the translation of the Septuagint which has 'Angels' instead of 'sons of God' and this was not in the sense of actual angels, but of what the teachings of Hermes Trismegistus stated about Adam and Seth. Adam was said to have had an angelic nature [which is comparable to Christ's]. That is why Christ was believed in neoplatonism to be a second Adam. The term 'bene Ha-Elohim' was given the wrong sense. It was interpreted as Sons who actually were divine or angelic beings, like angels, but with Hermes teachings, that was no mystery. It was common knowledge that they were BEINGS WITH AN ANGELIC NATURE. The term 'nature' is the key. Adam had a PERFECT NATURE WHICH WAS LOST but can be recovered [through an integration of the Universal Christ, the Light of God, etc.. which has a transcendental effect. It transforms the human nature. It leads to Ascension. But Christianity, the Roman Church's dogma tells us that that Light was the Word and that only Christ possessed it, or was its incarnation. However, Enoch and Eliah ascended.
I THINK that the Watchers' story attributes the corruption of the antediluvian world to the inter-marriages of the sons of God and the revelation of celestial secrets, and that's erroneous, because Hermes' teachings are in connection with Initiators who revealed knowledge that was necessary for mankind to create civilization.
It's obviously a scribe who added material since the book if generic.
The Overthrow of the Lost Church of Christ & Holy Grail Unveiled
    [For Back Cover]
Unveiling the drama of a slaughter by the Romans, in their effort to enforce an Edict declared in 42 A.D. because of the dissemination of a doctrine from Avalon to beyond the seas, the author establishes that Joseph of Arimathea preached in Britain at the surprising early date of 37 A.D. and actually founded a Church of Christ in Glastonbury that had no connection with the later conversion of the British Isles to Christianity with the arrival of Augustinian missionaries in 597 A.D. Francis Bacon made an allusion to a wide overthrow of apostolic institutions, which may have been concealed, in his statement: ‘the Britons were the last of all the Churches of Europe that gave up their power to the Roman beast’. The author expounds that the factor that justifies the need for a Redemption by Christ’s crucifixion, in Christianity, is Augustine of Hippo’s contention that Adam and Eve committed an Original Sin. She argues this is but a dogma and is on the basis of an erroneous interpretation in relation to the ‘Forbidden Tree of Knowledge’ of Genesis. Furthermore, in order to deify the human Jesus, the Roman Church’s early Councils declared he was the ‘Word made flesh’ and its unique incarnation, although the term, translated from ‘Logos’ is in connection with the symbology of the Holy Grail and the Light of the Universal Christ that can be integrated into the human chalice for a transcendental effect to recover the ‘perfect nature’ that Adam possessed. That ‘perfect nature’ is the key that the author uses to unravel the mystery of the ‘Sons of God’ and refute the ‘fallen angel theory’ in a ground-breaking exegesis for Genesis 6:1-4, with the proposition that the lost sense of ‘Ha-Elohim’ in the Masoretic text, is ‘angelic nature’ and not ‘divine or angelic’ in the sense of actual angels. The Sons of God are revealed as Initiators with an angelic nature, who together with the Atlanteans were progenitors of the 5th Root or Aryan Race, in which both good and evil incarnated, and the latter continues to be the reason for what is wrong in the world.

He was aware that men would deny that Moses was the first historian. Jesus did a really good job in confirming the authenticity of the old testament Bibles based upon the masoretic texts such as kjv err in the generations of Shem. The septuagint, written before Jesus arrived, provides a more accurate account of rhe generations of shem.

Is Enoch considered a historical figure? You know, in the same sense of an ordinary (in the sense of NOT divine) human who maybe did some astonishing things and taught the same, even though NOT supernaturally? (I'm betting most secular or non-fundamentalist scholars understand Enoch is in the same category as Adam, Noah, Moses, Job, etc. - i.e., totally fictional.)
But IF the Jesus story seems to be a rehash and updated version of Enoch, would that not strongly imply JESUS was ALSO totally fictional? I mean, I don't see a first century iterant illiterate preacher carrying around a copy of Enoch in order to make sure the sounds coming out of his mouth match directly to this particular scripture.

It’s not crazy as you might think
As Jesus of the Bible never existed
Jesus existed most likely but he is not like what the New Testament mentions he is
The oldest canonical Gospel of mark dose not mention Jesus virgin birth Nor dose it mention who saw Jesus be crucified
The concept of Jesus virgin birth is in Mathew and Luke
Mathew and Luke also copies from the exodus story to fit Jesus as the suffering messiah a prophet like that of Moses
Luke identifies Jesus as the Prophet like Moses in Acts 3:22
      Mathew 2 12-21
Historically king Herod never executed first Borns of Bethlehem cause Bethlehem never had any significant role nor where it even a city
Mathew got this one horribly wrong

Over the years I have learned to not mention any references to First Enoch that are contained in the NT. It is simply a waste of time.

Nimrod is the version perverted, by the authors of the Septuagint, of the identity of the ancient Akkadian god, who was very popular for more than a millennium and a half, here is the Overpowering Monster-slaying God and Hero of the Anunna Gods, I named Ninurta the double seeded Divine born, originally known as Ninĝirsu, the Sumerian god, much older and divine protector of the City State and holy city of Girsu, city where agriculture was born according to Sumer sources, he is also the sovereign god of the powerful City State of Lagash and all its countryside, Bad-Tibira one of the City States named in the pre-flood texts, then Ninĝirsu was sovereign until the small port city of Nina.
    Fun Facts.
Ninĝirsu is also called the Shield of Inanna, which means that he is his first general as well as his official successor, according to the law of legitimate sovereign descent of the kingdom Ki.
Which is under the cosmos of An, God-Father of everything, and above the Kur of Ereŝkigal , mother of the magnificent and hyper-powerful Goddess Bau, creator of humanity and Divine Spouse of Ninĝirsu, who is also his assistant/protector when Bau descends, in the world between the Kur (realm beyond the grave) and the Ki (realm of the living in the Earth's surface) making her rounds of what appear to be the prisons, where the monsters that Ninĝirsu defeated imprisoned her.
