What I really like about Max is, that he posts videos where he is not only winning. When he loses he is not salty. And when he wins he always has respect for his oponent and does not brag about his win. Wholesome fighting game content! Thank you Max!
I know. It really is nice because it lets you know that he doesn't always win, he's not perfect. He loses and comes back or accepts the loss.

As someone who got Diamond during his placement matches (despite a win record of 50%), I feel Max's pain of trying to climb the ranks. It's brutal at how good the players are now!

I believe every time Max plays SF6 he ain't never backin' down, for his city for his town. He goes and gets the crown, he goes another round. To the top, he sees the sights, he sees the sights he sees the sights.

Ken's an absolute monster in this, His rush down and buttons are so oppressive. You can tell Max is way more invested in these matches he's walking into the lion's den with Ken.
He definitely is. Arguably top 3. Definitely top 5.
I have noticed Big Bird's Marisa takes Angry Bird's Ken lunch money 8 out of 10 times, and Max really struggled against her in the video.
Maybe she the one bad matchup for him?
@@mappybc6097it seems like their playstyles are sort of opposites, while Ken is a get in your face fast and do a bunch of damage Marisa wants you to get in and uses her super armor to tank your hits and counter hit you into oblivion, as a Ken player Marisa is interesting to play against to say the least

@@tristancummings5925I can't recall if her armor is 1 or 2 hits but it's quite strong - she can armor through a drive impact and punch you into the next county. Worse, her damage per hit is just bananas, one good Marisa punch will hit as hard as four or five confirmed hits with Cammy.

@@gaetanoisgro6710 Fuckin' mad respect, man. Using Juri alone demands it, being high enough for P2, also demands it. But you were as good of a sport in the face of that first P-loss to balance the set as I sort've suspect you were, you must be an outstanding individual to fight against.

This is the first SF game that I play online. I've tried SF4 and 5 but damn it was bad, the lag was awful. SF6 has great online and I'm really enjoying it. Getting my ass kicked most of the time but every time I lose I really feel like I've learned something.
Always love seeing you play Max, wether it's fighting games or Soulslikes

I actually don’t get accidental specials in this game very often which is really weird, because I’d get em all the freaking time in 3rd Strike. And considering how much more strict 3rd Strike’s special timings are, you’d think it’d be the opposite. I do accidentally launch a super 3 with Juri at full screen when I’m trying the buffer a charge kick every now and then, but like, that I get lmao.
there's something weird with the input reading in sf6 different from everything before, I've seen pros drop or get missed inputs all over
@@Rio..o7.. I dunno, to me it doesn’t feel any different than SF4. But it’s not like I tested anything. I drop inputs, but that’s mostly cause I suck lol.

I got done with my placement matches and lost all 10 of them im officially a rookie now and I'll probably stay that way since i suck at this game mainly got it for world tour and to fight as Akuma when he comes out

I went from Silver to Platinum with Ken and moving slowly up to Diamond. This grind is brutal.

@@neoyaku very. But I love it. I started at Silver because I had no idea what I was doing, but after spending time and understanding the mechanics better, I moved up. Playing against a variety of players and styles definitely helps!
When it gets tough is when it gets fun.

7:51 max probably won't see this but need to do m-jinrai delay heavy follow-up to get h.dp or any level super; l-jinrai heavy follow-up will only let you do l.dp or m.dp or lv2. maximum sizzle is c.fierce h-jinrai delay short follow-up l-jinrai heavy follow-up cancel to lv3

I feel like Plat 5 is one of the heaviest ranks out there. Full of the ones that are so good at fundamentals they placed Diamond and got knowledge checked back into Plat, and the ones who've worked their way from lower ranks and up through that grueling Plat 1-4 section and gained skill and knowledge there.

Max, if you're against a Marisa and she's doing Mp Mp into fully charged gladius, just grab. Just like DI, armored moves are beaten by going any grabs.
That is part of the Gladius mix thou. You can grab a fully charged Gladius but an uncharged Gladius combos and a Superman Punch is airborne. So if grab a fully charged Gladius, a good Marisa will mix in what comes after MP> MP so that a grab attempt is a risky punish.
@@ruga-ventoj Well the Marisa will probably mix it up you're right. That's why I said if they're doing it into fully charged gladius. Max didn't seem to know how to stop the move from coming out. I also think he can dp EX DP to beat that mixup altogether but idk, I'm not crazy good at the game
@@mickeybat5816 you would be right if there is a gap, Ken could ex DP out of there. It would beat Marisa entirely thru the armor due to the two hits or get Ken out of the way and land behind Marisa. The timing of the two moves make it hard to tell which will happen. There is also a Marisa mix here where she can use her Ex Guard Stance and tank the DP with the two layers of Armor Ex gives. From there Marisa has a Turn to combo. Now this is a risky move because the stance can be best with a Grab, like you suggested earlier. So the game of RPS gets another layer of RPS lol. For a Juggernaut, Marisa has a surprising amount of mix in her kit and people keep finding it. There are not a lot of pieces but there are alot of layers to work with. It's very interesting. Like making the most out of the least amount of tools.
I still can't cancel into super in match, this game is fucking hard
You can sort of cheat it out if the special you're canceling from uses the same input. So for example with Cammy I use OD or H spiral arrow > lvl 3 with the inputs being just qcf kick > qcf punch. Or Ryu can probably use hadouken > lvl 3 with just qcf punch > qcf kick
It's wild watching people evolve in this game.

Max if you want to link level 3 after jinrai combo in the corner, you have to use the medium version, not the light one, and you don't have to use shoryuken if you want to see the cinematic to deal more damage.

MK has always had stiff robotic wooden movements that has always looked inferior to street fighter. I have never been a fan.

MK 1 just seems like the gimmicky version of 11 with the side characters. Sigh. At least they make em every 2 years, so here's hoping the next one will be more to my liking.
MK has a lot of cool characters but it's always lagged behind SF and Tekken for pure gameplay.

This is the first fighting game i've played and I just hit Gold 5, my opponents are honestly way more mechanically capable than I am so i'm not sure how i keep winning, but i'm having a lot of fun. I haven't even figured out how to incorporate drive rush or have a good B&B combo yet

I have noticed that SF6 does not tolerate messy input as much as 5 did. You have to be quite a bit cleaner and tighter to get everything to come out right.

Watching high plat/low diamond Marisas I'm slowly realizing I just need to turn my brain off and stop doing lame shit like neutral and just go full armor gorilla
While playing Ken it's better to use the Helicopter Kick as a super while pinning your opponent to the wall. The Dragon Punch super seems to have a frame delay an you whiff when trying to chain it.
