My dog got hit by a car on the 17th of July 2021, around 1 ish in the morning, the saddest thing for me was, taking her body to the pound we got her from that same day a couple of hours later at 8 in the morning, and seeing them take her body from our car to the back of one of their buildings, really broke the tears lose

So sorry for your loss. I get you because my hamster is a small animal too, but when he passes I bet im going to be heart broken. When hes in heaven maybe he will choose a special kitten to come live with me as that is what im thinking of getting once he has passed. It hearts my heart to even think of his passing but he is old for a hamster now at 18months and the average hammy lives for about 2 years. I'm very sorry for your loss. Real men love cats! My hubs loves cats and he a macho kind of man. We had our cat Moses for 18 years and had to put him to sleep on the 25th of May this year. My hubs cried because he loved Moe as much as I loved him. Men are human beings just like we women are and they deserve the same right to shed tears whatever the reason may be. RIP for your kitty cat.

Believe me Connor, I feel your pain. I lost my cat suddenly 3 months ago and it hurts as much today as it did then. Nothing can or will ever replace him.
My previous dog passed away in 2019. A few days after she died, I woke up in the middle of the night and saw a glow of gold and blue light and I knew it was her soul visiting me to say goodbye. I was so sad when we had to put her down, but I know all of my dogs are still with me. I have another dog now, she's 4 and a half years old now and I love her just as much, I hope she will live at least 16 years. â€

I believe this...our beloved 16 year-old dog Toby had to be put down late evening. Around midnight I was resting (from pure shock) and watched a misty blue lite float upward to the ceiling. I absolutely knew it was Toby on his way to Heaven.

@@carmenlopez4545 I've had a lot of time to cope now, and it did get better. Occasionally I still start yearning for him and crying, but I can live a normal life again. I think I've found closure and I can appreciate the time we had together now.
I hope that you'll also be able to let go soon. Videos like this and actively processing my cat's death a lot helped me. I feel like when you try to push it to the back of your mind, the wounds will never heal. So allow the tears and give your mind the time it needs to deal with the passing of your cat. It'll get better. And eventually we can reunite with our beloved cats at the rainbow bridge.

Having other pets around has helped me a lot cause it seems like they know Iâm hurt and even tho theyâre not the most affectionate, somehow they try to make me feel better giving me kisses and purring on me (Iâve read that they do that to heal you). I found my cat, Snow in the middle of the street February 2020, he was still a kitten and doesn't have teeth. I took him home with me and cleaned him. I bought everything he need. I loved him more than anything else and he was my buddy. I took him everywhere we go, he even climbed a tree. I took pictures of every moment we shared together and just some random moments. My cat was neutered and after that he got sick. Snow got Feline Panleukopenia Virus so I took him to the vet then he was confined and they ran tests and told me he had diabetes. I took him home with me in a dextrose because he won't eat. I bought the food and medicine he needed for his diabetes and for the virus. He recovered and became playful and I was happy that he recovered. A year later, February 2021, I adopted a new cat from a shelter and I got a new cat because I don't want Snow to be lonely. My new cat's name is Christian. It was fun having them play around and just seeing the two grew closer like brothers. A year and three months passed, Snow got sick. I took him to the vet and did a test and Snow has UTI. I bought his meds and two weeks later, I thought he was getting better. I cleaned him before I went out to buy his urinary cat food, wet food and litter sand. It started raining while I was on my way to my dentist so I had second thoughts of going to the dentist but I went anyway. I got stuck at the clinic because of the heavy rain. I went home and as soon as I went in my grandma told me that Snow died. I rushed inside my room and touched him. His eyes and mouth were open and his body was cold and hard. I knew he was dead but I was in denial so I took him out and begged one of our neighbors if he could drive us to the vet but he said that I would just be wasting my money because my cat was already dead. I rushed to my cousins house because she new a lot about cats since she have 6 cats and one of them had a history of UTI and kidney failure. She wasn't home so I called her to tell her Snow was dead, I couldn't even speak properly. I sent her a picture and she just said sorry and I broke down in tears. I hugged Snow and it felt like a part of me died. I was like that for hours, I was crying, shouting and blaming myself until my cousin arrived. She said that it was time to let him go. We bought a huge vase and soil. We wrapped Snow's body before burying him and I planned to plant a flower so that I could still take care of Snow and have him near me.
It's been almost two months since he died and I am still blaming myself and thinking I could've done more or do something. It haunts me every day, the fact that I wasn't there for him while he was dying and I didn't get to say goodbye before he stopped breathing is haunting me every day. We believe that it is either his diabetes came back or he already had a kidney problems and the test didn't caught that. I still can't accept that he is gone.

My cat suffered the same fate, I'm here for consolidation. I thought it was just UTI but then the doctor said it was kidney failure UTI is just one of the symptoms when I brought him in for urine draining he couldn't take it, the kidney was so weak it can't handle the anesthesia. And then my poor boy was gone, I'm still blaming myself for not seeing the symptoms at their early stage, it could've been prevented, and my cat could've still been here by my side cuddling with me.

& I also wasn't able to talk to her or live few last moment with her because she died in early morning when I was sleeping... My parents woke me up slowly i saw them in big tears and understand that she is gone i didn't say anything just cried silently ... moreover she was so sick and had breathing problems so badly... I miss my dog his name was bow, it's already been 4 days and I'm still silently crying. He died because we recently adopted a new dog so bow could have a freind and they seemed to be getting along, they had occasional fights but it wasn't too bad. Until one day when they got into a really bad fight and bow had to go to the vet. We thought the vet could fix him but we didn't even notice a big cut across the back of his neck and they couldn't fix him, so we had to let him go..... I was there when the fight happened, I just wish I could have alerted my parents sooner or something I could've saved him! But I just sat there watching them like a idiot and now bow is gone....

Oh my God I pray for you and your daughter. I'm 64 and had my cat (Best Friend) in the world for 23 years from the day he was born. Never had I had a pet that was so pure with Love and dedication to me. His name was Napoleon (Nappy) and I miss him terribly. He slept with me since he was 6 weeks old, unbelievable how he left the box where his Mom and brothers and sisters were and was able to climb up on the bed and sleep by my armpit. I was so scared I would hurt him because he was so small. He slept with me
every night and stayed by my side all the time. He became very sick at the end being 23 years old but still never left my side. I did all I could to help ease his pain even going as far as helping him go to the toilet. I'm proud to have had the privilege of taking care of this wonderful, beautiful friend. I miss him beyond words even 12 years after he gone now.
I currently have another beautiful pet cat named Bandit who I've had for 11 years who I know was channeled to me through my Nappy. And so it goes. đżđșâ€â€

Had to put my cat down today and I was with her when they did it and it was the worst seeing her body become lifeless on my brothers lap. She was just to precious. Literally just a perfect old girl and she just got taken away from us within a few minutes. I would give anything to get her back even for a few more minutes.

Itâs about to be 11 months since we had to do the same with our cat of 13 years. She was so special, unlike any other we ever had, tho I undoubtedly love them all. I just recently lost my pet cat to liver failure. Heâs older than I am, and my parents had him before I was even born. This made me cry so hard because sometimes I feel like I can still hear him in my house, when everything is quiet and dark. He was a black cat, so it was always hard to see him at night. Nobody in my house likes going out during the night anymore, because all we can think about is how heâs not there anymore. Last night, I thought I tripped over him when I was getting out of bed, but is was just a toy. I hugged it for two hours while silently crying to myself. Iâve tried to memorialize my cat in every way possible. Iâm still going through a rough time, and this really helped me get a good, healthy cry in. Thank you so much.

I recently lost my dog. She was everything to me. She would lay next to me and stare at me. She had such a warm scent. I loved her with all my heart all I want is to hug and hold her again. When she got excited she was very tiny so when she wagged her tail she wagged her butt as well. I only had her for a year but it was one of the best years I have had. I was always happy because I had her there to keep me going. She always wagged her tail and loved everyone! Even if we where sad she would wag her tail and lick away our tears. Once when I was sick she fell asleep next to me and cuddled me the whole day! I miss her so much! She was my best friend!!

I lost my 2 dogs, Copper and Shadow. I lost Shadow in December of 2021 when I came home from a party late at night. I lost Copper, I was on a trip and when I came home my father said he was sick my 5 year old companion passed almost a week later on the morning of my birthday in 2022.

thatâs what day Milly passed away, it was on my 37th birthday she had lunch with me that afternoon and we played at the park that morning. It was sudden and unexpected she took her last breath in my arms at 2:00 pm that day.
Yes Milly spirit did visit me yesterday I heard her scratching at the door to let her in at 7:30 pm. Thatâs what time I used to always take her for a walk hail, rain or shine for 16 years.

Your reply actually made my day. It very lonely here in Australia, since I am divorced and live on my own. Milly was my only companion at home, Iâm lucky that I work 7 mins drive from home so I use to home home at lunchtime to check up on her and the house, feed her, etc.
I have taken holiday leave from work for a month to grieve and heal. Yesterday I went to the pound and took home two foster dogs Nikki and Nella they are sisters, to keep me company and help me heal while Iâm on leave. I still miss Milly more than anything and she canât be replaced. I will get another puppy some time next year, just need to make sure Iâm ready, this time I think I will get 2 so they have each other while Iâm at work.

We will heal and get better just think of the wonderful lives we gave our babies when they were with us on this earth.
