Around 50 very common to start to need reading glasses for phones and tablets etc, not kidding just buy some +125 reading glasses on Temu or similar which is what I did, only use them for screen time.

Thanks for sharing! For the price, the last condos was a bargain! Normally they are at least 10-15 square meter smaller for that price. And the asking price for purchase was very reasonable too. For an older person, a hospital as a neighbor is a big plus in my book. So all in all I think Lamphun is a very good option for retirees that want to get away from the most hectic cities and still have a mall and hospital in the neighborhood. So please show us more of what Lamphun has to offer, like condos, houses, fresh markets and more! 😊
Yes, Lamphun is very cheap and a great option for either renting or retiring. This is probably top of my list now. I’ll be back in Lamphun in the coming weeks.
Siri 2 looks a lovely place, pool, gym, local shops, what more could you possibly want for day to day living?? Don’t know if the hospital would mean lots of sirens or not but you’d get used to them, I’d go back when they’re available to rent and see what’s what.. keep well Wayne 👍🏻

Great deal with all included. It could be noisy with the Hospital near, but Lamphun is such a chilled place anyway. Lot's more to look at yet buddy, but this was a good start. Cheers buddy.

The second condo with the duel aspect views was excellent value and the older you get it's great to have an hospital on your doorstep 😊. The girl showing you around was very lovely 😊

I first stayed in lamphun 22 years ago but off the beaten track, it really made me fall in love with the Thai's, I think I'd prefer to be in Chiang Mai though, just because it's got everything, Lamphun is good for a month or so but then gets a bit too quiet, hope you've had a lovely time, I'd love to be there but stuck in blighty, chok Dee Wayne.
Nice! Lamphun really is a special little city, still untouched. Maybe a little bit closer to Chiang Mai could be better for some. Maybe Saraphi or just 15 minutes from CM city. I think Lamphun is still easy though, I would only go into CM a few times a week. Thanks
The last place @ 50,5 m2 for 1,67M Baht sounds really good ! I retire from the Navy in 2 years....Lamphun might just be on the mark !

Wow 😮 that’s so affordable. Heck. I’m gonna retire in Thailand next 20 years. Might buy a condo around north Thailand in the not too distant future. I love Australia, where I live. But buying a home is out of reach for many.

I think that place by the hospital looks awesome. I like the small one with the glass partition, makes the whole place seem less hemmed in and bigger. You know, I follow some of the vlogs on Bangkok for the expensive places and this one is just as tidy and clean as any of them. The fittings may not be as expensive but it all looks really good quality. I would buy one of them if I was over there.

That’s right, this is just as good as ones I’ve seen for double the price. It’s the location that makes it cheap also, not many foreigners in Lamphun. It’s one of the best I’ve seen for the price . Thanks buddy

within half hour of Chiang Mai a city in its own right which isn't the standard Thai non touristy type of set up. It's ideal as it is very modern looking and, as you said caters for everything a westerner would need whilst not your typical tourist hub overrun with holiday makers. The properties pretty good and more than affordable for sure. Cheaper than I would have expected to be honest and inclusive of furnishings. You have uncovered a gem there in Lamphun Wayne., a real Bobby Dazzler. When you moving in? 😂
It’s a bit of a Dazzler mate. Lamphun is cheap, as you said, no one goes here, so can find some bargains. I’ll be looking at a lot more in Lamphun in the coming months . Cheers mate

When comparing your walk in Lamphun to walks in Chinag Mai, the biggest difference was how quiet and uncrowded Lamphun was in comparison. I can totally understand why you like it there, it is a retreat from the hustle and bustle for sure.
For sure Dan, Lamphun just gets over looked. I can’t recall even seeing a foreigner all day .
You may have just caused Lamphun’s population to go up by a few hundred expats 😂! The prices are very affordable and the wide open space with views too. I do hope the air quality isn’t very bad during the burn season and hope they’d be able to stop the burning all together very soon. I do like the quietness of the area, like you said Wayne. I’d love to spend a few days there to see how great Lamphun is 😊.
Yes, I wanted to keep Lamphun a secret really 🤣 but it deserves to be shown, it really is still an untouched city. Sone great bargains here. Burning will be the same as Chiang Mai unfortunately and nothing will be done about it. Thanks
that's the thing about Thai condos, they have the absolute best balconies!...they're huge in contrast to other places!

Thanks Wayne! that was really nice! I agree that Siri 2 Condo was super nice & even the sales price really reasonable given the finish & quality. In Chiang Mai that would be doubled. The front one Siri 1 though was a Condotel. That can be noisy as guests arrive at all hours & roll suitcases past room. So if you rent try for that back unit Siri 2😉
It was a really good deal, Lamphun will always be a bit cheaper. Yes, Siri 1 is a Hotel and I would probably have a room facing the train track. Lot's more places to see in Lamphun yet buddy. Cheers.

@@WalkAboutWayne was thinking the same. Minus is distance. Such as reading plates while driving. Issues reading laptop and phone, means you are Plus. Indeed try the cheap reading glasses. Probably also in 7eleven. Here in Holland, those things go for 1 euro or something. You could also have difficulty seeing in the distance. But minus 1 is totally fine going without glasses. I have minus 1.75 and only use glasses driving.

Lamphun is a nice place and not so far from Mae Tha where my wife come from.
Mae Tha is a great area yes, I've done a couple video in Mae Tha. I could do more in that area soon.
seems like you quite enjoy being there and even planning out your retirement, Mate, I left England 2 years ago to live in Malaysia with my wife now I'm a dad of a kid the life has changed a lot since I moved. I would say living alone abroad as an expat in Thailand, you'd better get along with a Thai Gf or a Thai wife, I relocated meself to Southeast Asia, Yup I do miss em me mates me fam yup, but, life is fantastic, we need to explore more, Not gonna be alone, mate, Girls are everywhere for yah, stay safe and sound as always.

Pick this up mate, a parent is very important to get along with, my wife and her family are well over comfortable and have been given the best life here. Red flag, do not fall head over heels in love with a Bar chick or someone who does freelancing
-1 is not bad at all.I need glasses to read and near work.I went and got prescription glasses but no way could i wear them made me dizzy.I went and tried a few of the cheapo ones and have now been wearing them for yrs.Just gradually get stronger ones when needed.

Nice one, mate! Quiet, good price, not too small/big, new, near a mall with a food court - what else do you need?
I'd say that the only other thing you might want to check is the likelihood of additional new construction, in/around that area. I do not think you want to live next to the construction site of a new high-rise condo, or another big shopping mall. Ask around - maybe check with some of the local real estate people, or the local government land office.
Always good to have a hospital nearby - when you really need one, you don't want to be screwing around with Google Maps. I'd suggest poking your head into the hospital, to check it out & ask a few questions about services & costs, if you do seriously decide to consider a move.

£26.5K for a wee apartment like that is sen-fcuking-sational versus UK prices! The funky wee apartment where you could hear the neighbours TV, seems a bit dear and would prob become annoying very quickly! If you're thinking of getting glasses, in the UK you can get them in supermarkets or pharmacies and try on loads of different pairs in your own time ... for me that worked better than an optician rushing me through the 'is that better or worse?' guff.

connect the laptop to a tv for better vision, i use a 43 inch and its the nuts all you need is the hmdii cable ,worth a go
Yeah I would like a big monitor at some point. I tried it through the TV in my condo. It worked great.
@@WalkAboutWayne can second that - i use a 42 inch 4k tv, i use it for programming and video editing, and it's just been nice all around.
The one at 16mins looks tidy. Pitty they can't mount the AC off the deck for a bit extra space.

Lamphun is chill man, went there in June on a wild Songteaw ride from Chiang Mai to test a motorcycle. Friendly people.
I couldn't see Siri 2 on Google map either mate. I had to pin Siri 1. It's only a few footsteps away, so virtually the same location. If you find it on the map, let me know.

Green and Gold = Aussie Condos, man if you got a "erotic screamer" in that 1st condo the neighbors would go ballistic. 2nd condo was better Jang is Gorgeous, 6k rental is good (no brainer) Mate Aussies are doing the Poms (only gold count) in the Olympics Speaking of eyes there are exercises that help a bit just look on YT, computers and harsh sun are the worst things.

Wayne I would really consider actually buying one and with my daughters having a Thai ID card they can actually buy in there name 18 next year but 21 years she can have it in her name I would really consider retiring here myself 100 percent at 1.2 million a steal
