A lot of high school teams play the 4-3-3, high press, and man mark. High pressing aggression is my style too, but a good through ball after spotting who their slow cb is one heck of a thing. Coordinating attacks in soccer is a little hard, especially with no time outs, it is very hard to make good attacks unless you already planned them out in a practice before hand. It’s high school though, so we don’t prep often, and our game play doesn’t revolve around our opponents game play, which is an issue too….
That will always be a challenge. The best option is to try and maximise the strengths of your team and hopefully that can generate you success across a season. Rather than tailoring every match to the opposition. Kind of like a Bielsa approach!
