I compared the two at Road Atlanta, and found the Mustang about a second slower than the Corvette if I push about the same, while also compensating for the driving differences between front engine vs. mid engine. To get them equal, I had to push the Mustang a lot harder than the Corvette. Mustang sounds better and can take kerbs better, but it's not my choice. Not as fast or enjoyable, and that's coming from a Ford guy.

I just got both, never raced GT3 before and this is my first time being interested in GT3s as I run LMP2 mostly. I have no idea what a good lap time is but in practice earlier setting up for IMSA Endurance I was hitting 47.9s and low 48s with my average being a 48.5…. Not sure what a good pace is but I love the way the mustang feels, it’s big and heavy but it has some throaty punchy power behind it. Cant wait to race it this season and get experience in a new car class
In the 46s is really good under 2K iRating. I was in a hosted session yesterday where 7k guys were doing low to mid 44s. Depends on temp and fuel load.
Mustang for me! I like to sound! I race the BMW GT3 and found the BMW to be about a second faster at Daytona road course, but that was on my first run with the Mustang. I’m sure my times will get better and I think the Mustang will do better at tracks like VIR. Thanks for the video! See ya on the track! #783

Yes, they'll each have their tracks. Coming from the Merc GT3, the Mustang has similar loud and powerful sound.
