0:11 Pure Comedy casually looming over Robin
Damn, well spotted!
TomsConscience still don’t see it
kind of sarcastic :P
That's kind of pure comedy.
They're prolly like, oh there's Ringo...I mean Josh!
Even if you aren’t a Fleet Foxes fan, how could you not love these two gentlemen? Impossible.
Hearing Robin mispronounce Häxan by Dungen is the cutest thing ever
I just came back to say holy shit Häxan is such a beautiful album. I kept on squirming in my seat. It really feels like two owls staring at me in pure darkness.
Thank you SO much for typing out the name of the album. I could not understand what he was saying and could not figure out the spelling. Found it! Beautiful record
@@robcarpenter1225 oh its on the bottom left corner loll
Pankaj O Ahuja oh shit I am blind as a bat! Haha It sucks getting old!
Rob Carpenter took me a while too. I just wouldn’t think to look at the bottom left corner.
My Sweet Lord is by George Harrison, Robin!
Duhhhh, right!!? hahaha
Although it was written when he was still in The Beatles
lol he really said it like he did not know or care
no? it was on revolver by the Beatles? pretty sure I know my 80s artists Vayda
Actually it's by the Chiffon's :p
I kept waiting for Robin to pull out Tim Buckley's Starsailor in the background there
just listened to the Nina Simone album and it's so so good! Thanks for the tip, Fleet Foxes
Really nice! I can see the soundtrack to Valerie and Her Week of Wonders in the back behind Robin. That's a great one too
Morning Of The Earth is a beautiful film.
Royal Albert Hall album is definitely a classic.
+1 for the Dungen album. Amazing band, kickass album!
Swear Skye looks like the nicer, healthier brother of Jake Gyllenhaal's character in Nightcrawler lol.
TheNaN0MaN Or Ramsey Bolton
Great to mention the Louvin Brothers!
Robin--David Axelrod is a genius (Mass in F Minor, Song of Innocence, Songs of Experience, Earth Rot), Townes Van Zandt is one of the most poetic songwriters ("Quicksilver Daydreams of Maria" from his 1969 self-titled album might be the greatest love song ever written), and I dig Bobbie Gentry's Southern Gothic stories.
Soooo Australian Amoeba??
What’s in my pouch.
Yes
Vulnicuraa
"Agnus Dei" --> "Fool's Errand" thank you David Axelrod
Yo I've got a bootleg of that Dylan record...crank up the volume all the way, jack the bass up (enough to not overpower the band) and it's the greatest rock and roll music ever played. If you want to understand how to play with energy and pace...listen to that record.
Anthony Baldini love Dylan... one of my hero’s!
i spy with my little eye a butterfly (tpab)
did he just call a lynx "monsTER"??
what album
I knew SKyler was into Fripp! I mean, who isn't, but still...
I absolutely love shows like this bcuz im obsessed with dope producers man. #MARQUEE #nyc #FEMMEFATALE #womeninmusic #HipHop #BLOCKSHAREINC
“Today Is A Killer” by David Nelson of The Last Poets
I'll have to give it to the hipster culture, they gave us some damn good bands and music.....
I’ve recently learned that anything with a bit of color is “hipster” by some region’s standards. Music appreciation is just common culture to northwesterners. Pretty common in damp climates.. some of the best music in the world has come out of the UK and Ireland too. Hipsters are a very specific breed.. and these guys ain’t it..
If you haven't heard Townes Van Zandt, you should really check it out.
These dudes really like black woolen shirts.
Pacific Northwest vibes
A lawsuit? I'm out
Skye, you failed to tell us the artists names on the majority of vinyl you chose. Would love to see the list. Love ya!
TimberWolf∆ In the bottom left hand corner of the video, it’s very faint but you can see the album name and artist name as Robin and Skye present the records. Some of it’s a little hard to read because it’s white writing but I hope that helps!
I think he can safely add The Tallest Man on Earth and Shakey Graves to the list of artists that should be aloud to just play guitar and sing
Michael Ciccia I find shakey graves a tad contrived? Or maybe I should give it another spin.
How has he not picked a Beach Boy album?
I'd guess he may have discovered other music after 2006.
The Beatles 😂😂😂
"My Sweet Lord by the Beatles".... Awkward...
Scott Gates wtf right? not expecting that lol
These boys need to hit the weights.
This is the most hipster comment section of all time.
hey did you know my sweet lord isn't actually by the Beatles? its actually written by George Harrison--hey where are you going, why won't you be my friend?
he sounds out of breath
Probably just good ole fashioned anxiety.
Robin's been smoking cigarettes
Robin looks like an indie Elon Musk
indie and not a filthy billionaire
@@veryveryold filthy billionaire sounds actually pretty cool
@@cetetrips only if it's Robin. There are no good billionaires unless Robin gets a billion dollars
@@veryveryold I really hope that's a joke haha
@@cetetrips nah I don't ever joke about my diet lol
these guys are talking like theyre tripping
Don't understand the joke/reference... to what Robin mentioned during album covers, to the 'only 2 musicians who are listenable as someone and a guitar'... joke / disrespect / weird moment
Aqkqk Eqkqk The fuck are you on about
Clottinus Spottinus agree
He was being ironic like when he mentioned the album covers lol, both instances could be attributed to himself so he was being ironcially self deprecating
Jesus christ Robin is dry
Josh Lavigne he seems cool...
I think he's very very nervous. Follow his insta. He's a witty, warm guy really
Only two guys allowed to play guitar by themselves?? That's questionable. Its only music, don't take things that seriously.
I think it was a joke
He's a loveable hipster. Be easy on him.
Josh Lavigne hardly a hipster ya tit.
@@lola1987fudgeyouu yeah I heard this loser play a song recently, not only was it just him and a guitar, but he did a cappella at one point, like what? you think we wanted to hear just your voice and nothing else? you're not bob Dylan, who do you think you are? song was called like Oliver jones or something
