- This is the FULL UPDATE VIDEO to the first vid, ‘ Making Decorative Wooden Spirals Using Sears Craftsman Router Crafter’. In this video we transform beautiful decorative spirals into two lamps ( 52” floor lamp & 32” table lamp). We also created three custom made DOUBLE ukulele stands that hold different size UKU’S : soprano, concert, tenor &/OR baritone! Plus we made a 24-27 inch Trinity candlestick holder set. This set is made with 5 different types of wood!
All together we show 14 different spirals plus other cool patterns like pineapple pattern!
Wood such as pine, poplar, birch, white oak and all made by hand using manuals lathes as well as our Sears craftsman router crafter.
Thanks JC Torres for making these creations possible!
Check out Sears Craftsman Router Crafter Model No. 720.25251 assembly & operating manual. This 18 page manual will be a great starting point in understanding this cool router lathe machine! Vintagemachinery.org has a printable pdf copy of the manual if interested!
Thanks again for watching!

Hello sir I am not a carpenter, at least not a professional but most of my life I have been dealing with various woodwork and everything I know and do a little natural talent and most of what I have learned in all sorts of ways from talented people like you so thank you very much!
I have a few points just to say not as a negative review but as tips:
1. The subtitles first appear in two colors - unnecessary and disturbing in my opinion.
2. The camera moves too fast and you can not always understand or enjoy your work!
3. Fine processing before painting is more required in my opinion.
Thank you again!
Hello and thanks for watching and commenting Moshe! Thanks very much for your sincere tips! We appreciate your constructive criticism and will take it into meaningful consideration. Hope our videos help you in any way with your woodworking. Thanks very much Moshe!
Thanks to all subscribers for 2,800+ subs!! 💥🙏😎🤠🙏💥
Very well done. How did you make the hole down through the column for the lamps?
Hello Curtis! Thanks for watching and commenting! Super cool & glad you noticed that! In the video many times you see a vintage engine lathe in the background at the north A1CFS shop! It’s a Rahn Larmon Co ‘AA’ Series 16” x 78” lathe. We put the spirals on the lathe and used a 25 inch long 1/2” drill bit to bore a hole down the center to install threaded 1/2 “ lamp rod, couplers and electrical wire. We are going to make a very short to the point vid in the near future demonstrating this process since you mentioned it! Also, check out our 4 part series where we completely restore the “AA’ Series Rahn Larmon lathe! Thanks again for watching and questioning! 🤠🇺🇸😎
@@a1customfabsolutions Thanks for the info.
Sears has stopped selling them their router crafters. But I've seen a couple of pictures of home-made router lathes. I'm looking for a design I can build.
Check out EBay, they have several Sears Craftsman Router Crafters for sale right now!
You should use a better stain than MinWax.. try General Finishes or Old Masters gel stain on pine.. it will finish so much nicer than MinWax.. shame to put so much time and craftsmanship into something and then finish it with a bad product
Thanks for watching and noticing how we use minwax. We will check out Old Masters and General Finishes
Thanks for ur suggestions!
