I'm finding these reviews very helpful! I don't have this plane, but this has helped me discover what certain lines in the German tech tree are good for. They also give me something to aim for! Thank you!!!!
OMG. This plane has shot me down so many times I have lost count. Being killed and seeing a Bf 109 G-2/trop as the aircraft being flown has become common place. Most of my defensive maneuvers are useless against this incredible machine. As a FW-190 pilot, I will try my hand at flying the Bf-109 tropical to see if I can learn a thing or two from your sound advice. My current Battle to Kill ratio is only 45.1% with this aircraft.

Even using all my knowledge of energy fighting i still get destroyed before i can get 1 kill in it, I used to be able to get 3-4 kills in one match and now I can't survive long enough to even help my team.
I'm starting to get some great results in this 109 now that I'm flying with more discipline. I used to just turn fight everything. These videos have really improved my skills and the game is more fun now.
My favorite grinding plane. Made tons on this, gun pods with stealth ammo. Great plane.

@@jengar6258 Still my favorite plane. Took down 3 top tier jets including a Hunter F.6 in the 109G-2/trop a couple of days ago after playing with my mates at 10.3 air rb.
More pew is always better - and shooting minengewhackers is better yet. This with the premium G-2 and 190-A5 is my favorite lineup. I just wish more of my teams didn't immediately start strafing sheep - gets lonely up top too often
most aces prefered to work in solitude anyways ;)

Yes, finally my favorite 109, though I don't use the gun pods as I hate wing mounted guns, plus the 20mm on the nose is more than enough to kill fighters, I think the plane really feels heavier and the roll goes to shit, but I'm no Ace, so take it with a grain of salt.
no i agree, as i mention in the video this exact problem with the pods. I prefer to fly without them as well. But i did discover its viable to use them these days.

with the addition of bigger maps in air rb and the removal of Ruhr, climb rate is less important in the beginning stage of the game since the maps are usually good enough for muricans to climb up to altitude. Even so, the 109 pilots can find an alternate use for their good climb rate.
climb rate is always good, on small and bigger maps, in my opinion :)
Nah, because no matter how high you go, there is always someone higher. I learned that very slowly the extremely hard way in my -51D. No matter how big the map, Jerries will use it to climb to 18, 20, 25kft.

How do you go directly from F4 to G6? Don’t you have to buy the G2 to be able to buy the G6?
@@limposwe I just ignored it. Hated the paint job on it and just went straight to the g6. Researched that and flew that.

For me this is a "Must-have" vehicle. Fantastic!
The extreme way the pods did impede the performance of 109's in the past was overblown and unrealistic. They are relatively small and aerodynamic and other planes have all sorts of protrusions, nooks and crannies that don't seem to do that much to the flight model. Not to mention all the rockets you can strap to some allied fighters without turning them into flying semi trucks.
I’d only played a few times without the pods but after enjoying some G6 with the pods, I gave it a whirl a few weeks ago. I’m in love with it. My KDR has increased (as I’m shit without them). Stealth belts always 500-600m convergence. My aim with the nose mounted has gotten better since. It’s now my highest scoring German plane. The G6 is fun with pods but I keep the 30mm in the nose on universal for fun.

And the best part is you don't get teamed up with Allies. Last night I was in a match playing p51, on our team 3 fighters were ground pounding, there were 3 attackers chasing bombers and 2 bombers doing there bombing run. Let's just say we got murdered in minutes.
Gaijin made the p51 a brick got to the d30 and stopped couple bf109 tiers and i was like what in the hell... theres no comparison ppl shoulnt waste time on american tree

Why don’t stealth belts work anymore? Wether it’s 151’s, 50cals, shvaks, the stealth belts just don’t seem to work, they just spark where belts with tracers in them tear stuff up
One advice, when u do a gameplay video i would like more to explain what manouvers u do and why.. the plane char we can read by ourself :)
Honestly, as much as I love this thing, it performs terribly in RB, at least when I use it and when I use it in the servers j end up in, BF 109's are good at altitude? Sure, lemme just climb to 4k and be the highest fighter in the gam- oh wait there's like 7 other enemy fighters here ready to fuck my shit up and I'm all alone cuz my team decides to stay at low altitude. Ok cool I'll stay low- oh wait, I get out everything'd by literally everything, outsped, out turned, it's like every plane I get into becomes the worst plane in the game, I guarantee that the moment I hop into a spitfire, it's gonna become an absolute potato once I so much as touch the thing

I haven't really played the g2/trop too much but the Romanian G2 is spoiling the Italian line for me, honestly how can I be happy with the c205 serie 3 after playing that monster for 2 weeks XD. The c205 is still an awesome plane but man the g2 is nice.
The g55 is awesome except for the 29k repair cost. I'm trying to spade it before I run out of free repairs. I'll probably buy the g55s and the leoncello when they go on sale for the anniversary if I don't have the g91 by then.

This DO BE a good monster. But I have taken down lots of these with the BF109 E1. They climb real quick and can do stuff at 6000m+ pretty outstandingly well

Hey Jengar,
you are god damn right. The mapdesign of Normandie, El Alamain, Cologne, etc. is so annoying. Especially at the Br of 5.0-6.0. As you know, you are facing AD-2´s and AD-4´s there. They rape down your tickets in one run to the half and especially as a axis-team your match is allmost done then. It makes me so sad to see that gaijin didn´t use the full potential of this maps. On Normandie (for example) you can place allied ships on the water and german tanks on the land. That map can use the same pricip of the pacific maps. It could be so great with - more or less - the same winning chances for both teams. But i think that gaijin is not interesstet in good modes for Air-RB because tanks will give gaijin much more money and so they prefer tanks (As we can see in the last big patches in WT.). It´s a shame. The maps like Normandie, Cologne,etc. are just copy and pasted tankmaps. When did we get the last good map for planes? It´s so long ago.

I don't know what you mean about El Alamein; it is my favourite map for both fighters and ground attack, at any BR. I've only just started blasting in to the bases with at Rank V withmy Ar 234s 3x 500kg bombs and it is hellafun; I really do well in fighters on this map from BR 2.7 to 4.7, and similarly ground attack as a Jerry is great; it's not bad taking the premium FAA Hellcat Mk.II, either.

Jengar. If you want to ise your cannons, use them at short ranged wheb the enemy is close. That ensures good hits. But cannons are bad at long ranges, so use your mgs to spray. Espesh on the bf with the cannon gun pods. So that you don't have to rtb every time you go against an enemy

You talk about the G-2, and I see it in your crew slot, but it either does not exist anymore or is so exceedingly rare that even the marketplace has none of them. Which one is the case?
it's probably taken off, and only made availeble now and then. They usually do that kind of stuff.
If this is realistic then how can you see the enemy planes? Whenever i play Air RB the enemy names don't appear. Do you play in custom servers or official Gaijin servers? BIG difference in competition level.
you can turn that on and off in the options. Default is on. Obviously somewhere along the line you turned them off.

I don't get why I can't use this thing. I have like a KDR of 2 on everything else, the F-4 being my favourite but the G-2, the G-2 I have 0.03 KDR on. It feels slower, weaker, harder to aim, a worse climber, and with worse energy retention and engine heat management. I just can't use the damn thing. Lost 170k SL trying to learn this thing.
Should I leave the like rating at a fitting 109 likes, or should I up it to 110?

Can anyone explain to me why the G6 has a higher BR then the G2 trop? because the G6 has lesser performance in evey way...
its faster and has 13mm mgs. you think it is slower because the stat cards say so..... but stat cards show speed and everything for 100% power- the g6 has a very powerful wep. do some tests in test flight and youll see

@@maxsuarezmuller7186 I'm very late to this but I'm here to say that the statcards are made from AI's testing. The best example for it's unreliability are the Ju87s, they have such monstrous turn rates, better than a Spitfire but usually gets 30s turn time in stat cards.

Jengar it is weird, but I've discovered that I do better in the tech tree P-47D-25 than the premium P-51-20. Perhaps the enemies are tougher at the higher BR of the -51?

yeah, very good results, steady top notch performance, 70% uptiers though.
The F4 is supposed to be better. But i do better in this and it isn't even spaded yet.

One of the easiest and OP planes to fly out in the current meta unfortunately. This and the F4 are just ridiculous. I think anyone with some skill can easily maintain a 70% winrate. Most games are just boring with Germany at this BR with everyone getting a kill or two.
It’s not entirely the fault of the planes either. It’s team composition as well. I wish Gaijin would just do a complete overhaul of air RB for one patch. I wish 3.7-5.0 would be fun and competitive to fly again instead of a being a one sided German stomp fest.
Air RB has gotten very stale in it's current state. The Russians were fun to play for me as everyone else felt boring and unrewarding to play. With the Russians i could really do anything i wanted. But not anymore, as their planes struggle to get even a 50% winrate in most cases.
But.. i manage to get a 55-80% or better winrate in all planes in all nations 90% of the time. So for me its still about the pilot in the end ;)
Jengar haha you are special boss. We all aspire to reach your level. Personally I try my best as well. I take the 4.3 Spitfire and get some kills every game, but my skills are not enough to push the team to victory as well. The odds are just too much. I’m talking about on average how tough it is for a average player to have fun flying Allies at 3.7-5.0. Because constant losses do drain your silver lions and rp gain. Gaijin just needs to completely overhaul air RB and makes things more fair instead of just adding new top tier things.

But for me realistic is arcade because people use mouse.

But people want to win easy XD
So is all auto, aim and click and play for exp not for say im in war with one life XD
The Best part of realistic is one whole hour and team die in 5 min XD i cant See 4000mt and all enemy team is on me because people died but theyre exp is secure eheheh
