Today we take a look at the Bf 109 G-6, and we'll try to find out wether this plane is worth your money. We'll fly it out and see if it can perform in RB, and after that i'll give you my opinion on the Swedish Bf 109.

Hey guys, i had a great day yesterday flying the premium bf 109 G-6 added for Sweden this patch. Went 34-6, but didnt really get outstanding matches. You dont want to know how many 2 kills matches with 2-3 assists i got ;) almost got frustrating. But still was fun, when aiming correctly this plane can easily go beastmode. Hope you enjoy! Pyorr is a very sexy plane. I wish it wasn't a premium but it makes sense that it is.
@@ushikiii Finland did build some planes like the VL myrsky but they weren't that good

Those gun sounds....... They are hurt my head. Especially the 20 mm, the 151 had one of the best gun sound back then.....
Earned 4 million SL with this thing alone. My fav Bf 109 for sure. Great vid as always, Jengar!
How did you already earn 4 million SL and also do you count just the normal 109 G6 or no
@@Micro-Lander Was referring to my German G6.
Problem with it is that Gaijin copy-pasted the FM from German G-6 that has late production 1800hp DB-605ASM engine. Finnish Bf-109G-6's were early models with 1475hp DB-605A (two had 1475hp DB-605AS).
Meh. Note a huge deal.
@@unixfool 1800 and 1475 is about a difference of 300 horse power on tap. Probably would reduce it to 4.3 instead of 4.7 because it's the same engine as the G2 in a heavier airframe if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks for taking the time to review the Swedish/Finnish Gustav Jengar, it looks like it's a lot of fun to use, I'm really thinking of getting it sometime soon.
Ah finally, something Swedish the Yak 9u can calmly fight against without worrying of getting out stalled :^) Great review as always Jengar!
The G6 is my favorite BF109 because it has a favorable BR, and I love the 30mm power. I don't notice sparking from it rarely if ever.
G6 is my top plane, great flying characteristic- survivability and armament.
Me too but I disagree about using the 30

Hey jengar just wanna say I found 1 of your videos in like 2017 and because of your video I found and have been playing war thunder ever since. Thank you for keeping my inner pilot alive
Bf 109 G6 is good in turn fights that are sustained in a long term fight. Rate fights, and longer dragged fights benefit this plane. Instantaneous turn isn't that great, doesn't turn all that great at high speeds, and doesn't bleed speed very quickly thus P47's will initiially have the advantage. But I'd say Bf109G6 > P47Ds and P51Ds for the long term fights. Spirals are very well suited for this plane as well.
Why does everyone hate on this plane? It's an absolute god among bf 109's with the same turn time as the early f series, over 5000 ft per min. Climb rate, and a very high top speed of over 420 mph. This is better than all other bf 109's.
Just unlocked this plane in the German tech tree. When the 30mm hits a plane. That plane is going back to the hanger XD
true, i prefer the mg151's though.
@@jengar6258 funny you say that. I use those with air target belts and feel they do the same damage as the 30mm does. But have more ammo. One burst click is often enough :)
I notice the filter on the air intake. Does this cause more parasitic drag like the /Trop models do in the German line?
@Abdul Mohiuddin does on the F4 and G2. Trop models are both slower than their counterparts.
Nope. The war thunder wiki said it's purely aesthetic. Similar as in physical form with the tropical, but the performance is regular German G6

If you having trouble shooting planes down this is your beginners guide to learning how to shoot something down I only takes two Hits
Trying hard to wait for the sale to grab this one. Seems a bit expensive for what it is.
Beside that it should have an engine with lesser HP it should also lack it's 30mm wing mounted guns. Those were stripped down and were not in use due to the need for agile and fast fighter.

And another P51. Oh no, P47. Oh sorry, Bf109. IS there a nation that doesn't have any of these 3 premium machines?
Understandable in this case, because the Finns, Italians and Hungarians used Bf 109-s and other German planes. (Hungary also produced its own improved variants of the Bf 109-s, or so i heard)
But when an Allied team consists mainly of captured Bf 109-s and the Axis team of captured P 47-s, yeah it's rather off-putting.
If Gaijin cared about historical accuracy, they would limit the amount of captured vehicles per match.
