This is SO amazing. I wish First Act did actual productions of the Matt Pike custom guitars, 9 string- GBe doubled up like a 12. SO amazing. This demo is great, The last song Andy played with overdrive was plain kickass.
As soon as Andy does the double finger stroke thing at 4:37, I just drop what I am doing and I learn that song!! So much fun!! You Rock!

We play a Fender Deluxe Reverb at stage level (around 4) and there's a little grit sometimes. Oh well...

Holy shit! This thing even has a zero fret like the Burns Brian May and to make it even better, it has a brass nut instead of plastic or bone for superior sustain. Does anyone know if they make a 6 string version of this guitar?

dat.khoom - if you really wanna blow your mind - stick the guitar through a phase shifter (octave lowerer) and then through a VOX bass amp and use the bugger as a BASS. It is truly awesome - That my friend I used to do back in 1967. As a school kids I couldn't afford a bass and these were at the time really cheap compared to the Precision..

How the heck does he play with just his fingers without ripping the skin off? O.K. with enough playing you do develop segs, but how much torture would you have to go through to get there? The way I see it a plectrum saves your fingers every time :)

If there´s one guitar thats born to be played CLEAN it´s the Burns Double Six. So Why don´t You? I guess You think the first part is clean - but it´s not. Seems like the whole guitar community is being hypnotized into ALWAYS adding some distortion to the guitar sound. So sad. Respect the instrument and it´s designers intent - play it CLEAN. Then You can always play with the gain control and distortion pedals, (although most of them sounds lika a wasp in a tin jar ...)
