    Double tracking guitars is a great way to get big larger than life guitar tones in your own recordings. While it's not all that difficult, there's kind a "secret" to keep in mind while doing it to get that sound that you're looking for.

    I use all these same tricks too. All very effective. One additional thing I always do is hard pan the left guitar reverb to the right and vice versa. Great video. Cheers!

    What about playing slightly different things on each track?

    • @DadRockAndGuitars
      @DadRockAndGuitars  Před 9 dny

      Absolutely! That's a great way to add some interest, width, etc. Playing a bit of a different rhythm and/or playing in different places on the neck are great ways of achieving that. One band I think is really good at doing that is Blackberry Smoke.
      Do you have examples you think of?
