This smart gadget is impressive. After watching this video I wondered If I could use it with my decades-old window unit and surprisingly their live chat support confirmed the compatibility and more surprisingly they said I will be able to control my AC using Alexa too.

I just installed 4 mini split in my house and found a huge negative . I mean, HUGE . These manufacturers need to have there heads examined . For real . I set my mini split to 70 deg.f . Well after the set temp is reached it goes into low power mode and the air comes out warmer to maintain the set temp . Only huge issue is when you mix warm air with cold air you get wet, humid air . I contacted 2 mini split companies and asked if these were working right . They said yes . I told them that was plain stupid to have these work like that. Asked if there was a built in way to have it work like my central ac worked . Completely off 1 degree below set temp and back on 1 degree above set temp . They said no . Who in their right mind would make an ac product work like this ?? So if this product in this video works as shown in this video i will instant buy for sure . Going to do more research on these .
You can now set dry to come on and off at humidity thresholds.

One of my associates tried these remotes due to a difficult owner not wanting hiwall unit, floor console and then no cassette since this job was for an added flat roof, sun type addition. After a few go arounds she decided on and where the hiwall unit was going and we would deal with hiding the linesets outside..😵
Since routing a control cable was out of 5he questing, we opted for this IR remote kit. KNOCK ON WOOD, I have not had a call back ..yet. Only issue I saw was daylight all around and a tabletop control near just a blind equipped window allowing sun conduction since builder owner installed non low e glass double pane.
,.....so far....so good.
An automatic humidity control would be a great add on. Also a remote IR transmitter that plugs in would be a nice feature. We have 6 -3 ton wall units in a church and it is very difficult to find a mounting spot that will operate some of these units. We are going to use a IR repeater but a power/communication jack right on the thermostat would be nice.
Damn those blue on commercials spent a lot on marketing and keyword target to their demographics. You’re intelligent as Nostradamus you’re a freak of nature at Enginuity you are the boss and they were even able to mention beer in the commercial. Oh can’t forget it had the word free in it. You get a free app.
Will the unit still modulate the condenser performance accurately when using a non factory device like this?
Cielo would be very nice for the elderly.
Looks like a cool work around
When you adjust the temp on the Cielo does it also adjust temp on the AC unit or does the AC unit always stay at its lowest temp and just the Cielo turns it on and off based on the Cielo temp readings?
I have a ducted mini split system and can't find a theostat besides the pos that came with the system. It is MrCool multi unit system. Any ides?
Doubt ... the temperature and humidity control is adjustable with artificial intelligence? I mean if this device is smart so that it adjusts itself if environmental conditions change ... not having to do it manually.

Does anyone know if that would work on a ducted mini split?
Yes it uses IR to communicate with mini splits so it just has to be in the line-of-sight of the mini split. But it also has a lot more range than my Mr cool IR remote probably at least double the IR range.
