    Have you used these on multi-zone ductless systems yet? Or see any reason why they wouldn’t work for a multi-zone system?

    I got this device to work on my phone fine, when I try to set my wife’s iPhone up I cannot get the Cielo breeze to appear on the network. Is this just limited to one phone?

    I have a air handler with ac only. Have a Focus pro 6 tstat, how does this replace it. I’m kind of confused, is there a module I need to connect to my air handler?

    This looks like a great solution to a problem I have where my outside East wall gets hot in the early morning (Tucson AZ) yet the room is still cool. The Samsung Mini-Split kicks on and chills the room till it's in the mid 60's if I set it and forget it. I need to keep the programming updated to try and avoid this. Wish I could install a remote thermister.
    Does this Cielo Breez Plus only offer the device to be on/off versus ramping as needed for efficiency (the main reason I went to the Mini-split?

    • @TaddyDigest
      @TaddyDigest  Před 2 lety

      The Celio breeze has scheduling so you can actually schedule it to ramp up when you want

    EDIT: I bought one of these and set it to 70 degrees, and when it hit 65 degrees it just stays on, and keeps blowing cold air for hours. Tech support said this is normal and to use the "comfy mode"? wtf is that supposed to mean, if I set the temperature it should just turn off when it's reached? Does anybody else have this issue? Frustrating to say the least.
    Original post: So this device basically sends off an IR signal that is compatible with all mini splits? I'm looking for something to control my Daikin because their over priced wifi adapters are a joke. Thanks!

  • @Lisas4us

    This does not make the a/c smarter than it is without the device. It will only get smart when it has more sensors like light, and a clock and humidity and movement.

      Contact their tech support number. They will ask for a picture of the front and back of your remote to be emailed to them. Sometimes similar remotes have different functions. I had to call them for both a Haier mini-split heat pump and a GE window AC with heat strips. They got things straight

    • @hjc4604
      @hjc4604 Před rokem +1

      No, these work by sending IR signals to your unit and must be within line of sight of the unit you wish to control. If you buy the Cielo Breez Lite you can control 2 units for about the price of one Cielo Breez Plus, just without the display.

    What happens if someone uses the original remote control to change aircon settings? Can the Cielo detect that or does it just get completely out of sync?

    • @TaddyDigest
      @TaddyDigest  Před rokem

      not sure

    • @hjc4604
      @hjc4604 Před rokem

      It depends. If you follow the instructions and place the Cielo Breez device where it will capture the remote signal as well as transmit to the AC/Heat pump it will sync to what the remote inputs are. If it doesn't capture the remote signal due to being blocked then it will get out of sync and you won't be able to tell the status of the unit, except for room temperature and humidity. They may give you a clue that the unit is out of sync if it's not matching what the unit should be set for. I would suggest hiding the remote and using the app to control the unit so they don't get out of sync. There is no way for the Cielo Breez to know what the real status of the unit is. You have to be there to tell it what it's actually doing. So if you hide the remote, the unit and the app should stay in sync. Basically this changes the unit from a IR remote to a internet enable remote. You might be better off buying a WiFi thermostat and wiring it into the unit if you know what you are doing.

    • @hjc4604
      @hjc4604 Před rokem +1

      It can be used with your remote control but must be mounted so it receives the remote signals at the same time as the unit. Otherwise it may get out of sync with the remote and you won't know what the unit status in when you're not at home.
