    Do the screws have to be tight when attaching the leg frames to the base or do you need to allow for movement once bath is upright and filled with water? (0:19 seconds in)

    • @bandq
      @bandq  Před 2 lety +3

      Hi! Thanks for your question 🗨 The legs/ feet should be fully tightened to avoid any movement 🛁 We hope this helps 😊

    Hello I also was advised to fill the bath before taking the markings as the weight afterwards can damage the seal ?

      Hi, as advised in the video, "fill bath with water before applying silicon". Please see - 2:45 😊

    i am fitting a new acrylic panel, i have cut it down to length. My problem being my existing bath has wooden side battons as well. can I take them off? I guess the bath can support itself through its own feet?

    • @worrun1505
      @worrun1505 Před 2 lety

      yes that is what they are designed to do, but battens do help support just in case

    how long lasting for silicon do sealing the gap?? will it break someday?

    • @Jizzlewobbwtfcus
      @Jizzlewobbwtfcus Před 5 měsíci

      I'm 3 years late: Those will inevitably break or come off ( but shouldn't sooner than 10 years) at the bottom in bits as that's where most of the weight is but very easy to just reapply

    Does the bath come with legs and do i have to build a wooden frame for extra peace of mind? Thanks

    • @bandq
      @bandq  Před rokem +1

      Hi, most baths come with legs. If you're unsure, we would suggest checking the details of the bath before making your purchase 😀

  • @Splotched
    @Splotched Před 3 lety +1

    Well it would help to let us know what distance the legs need to be apart from eachother?

    What position do you put the legs.? Bought a Cooke & Lewis shaftbury 1500 bath but instructions don’t give an exact position, and there is no markings.

    • @bandq
      @bandq  Před 2 měsíci

      Hi Stacey, there should be caps on your bath to install the legs into. There is a diagram on our website you might find helpful - bit.ly/3wi8awt. If you're referring to the height of the feet, this would be your desired height. If you think you're missing something from the item purchased, please get in touch with our customer services 😊

    What would cause a front panel to bow in? Purchased a hoise a couple years ago and i am now noticing the botton of the front panel is bowing in.

    • @bandq
      @bandq  Před 9 měsíci

      Hi, there! There are a few reasons this could be happening such as excess moisture or it may not of been fitted correctly etc. Hope this helps. 😊

    I'm guessing you fill the bath with water BEFORE applying the silicone because of the weight of the water causing a slight dip displacement?

    • @bandq
      @bandq  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Hi there, yes that's correct. You should also leave the water in the bath until the sealant is completely dry 😊

      2 years late: Probably best. I would recommend you still learn a little about plumbing and installation doing small practical work so you can familiarize yourself with materials and how they actualy work. No need to rush it just take a couple of years and gradually : ]
      How did it go anyway?
