In todays video, we look at Trainways, a game based in Australia with the option to drive Freight and Passenger trains across a vast network! Let me know what you think of the game and give me suggestions of other Roblox train games I should play!

WHY DID I GOT STUCK IN THE LOADING MENU?!
4:01 its a XPT, a HST based intercity train used for NSW Trainlink's interstate services, these are built as new, and has features that would differentiate the original HST
I get the XPT every week from Yass (my 'local' station) to Central
The actual area is Sydney, the trains, stations and scenery in based of Sydney however the station names are tweaked a little. For example: Clydeson is just Clyde (sounds like 'collide') Irl.
7:27 The game is based on a similar premise to SCR and GCR but in Australia, the actual style of the game is Australian, but the actual rail network is mostly fictional.
When a speed limit sign has the letter X in it, that means the speed limit applies to the diverging route.
and when a speed limit sign has an exclamation mark for it, that's basically an advanced warning sign for an upcoming limit, just like in the UK.
While it is relatively fictional, many of the names and even directions those names go in remind me of the city it's based off (which I assume is Sydney). Some examples may be Eppingsworth as Epping, Hornsworth as Hornsby, Bowrania as Berowra, Cowsadden as Cowan. Clydeson, as Clyde even has a sort of T6 Carlingford line off of it!

I find the sounds in trainways incredible, especially when in cabin camera mode it’s so realistic, even with track switch you hear the sounds
There is actually a map in Trainways, if you press the Menu button, it pulls out a dropdown and from there you can navigate to the map(s), theres three: one for each main passenger "tier".
there's like only 3 network maps in this game, suburban, intercity and statelink

As an Australian Trainspotter who is also involved with another Roblox Train Game, I'm so glad you covered this!
As a person who occasionally spots these trains and rides them I'm very glad to see a game like this on roblox to exist at all. Its rare to come by and see train games based around the Sydney trains fleet and community for these on roblox is quite small. Much of the player base are people that live around the trains, ride them and are enthusiasts. I appreciate you bringing light to games like these.
Hello! Another developer from Trainways here, I'd also like to thank you for the recognition. It's really interesting to see people outside of the Australian community filming and playing games like this. The game is set in 2005. (btw at 9:13, that is indeed a Tardis. I'm the one responsible for placing it there ;D )

We have 2 horns, 1 for Intercity and 1 for suburban use. The thing you thought was a 'door chime' is the chime the guard plays before announcements to attract passengers attention to listen.
Hi matty! For your question about if its a fictional railway or not, It is fictional, but is based on the sydney rail network. The trains are also real, being sydney trains, though supporting liverys set in the early 2000’s.

2. The G Set *The Train That You Drove* Is Accaly One of the Fastest Trains the Same with Its Brother the Tangara T Set. Some More Fast Ones Are the XPT The 85 Class and The M Set
3. The *HST* That You Saw at Victoria Station Here in Australia We Call It the Express Passenger Train AKA The XPT
4. The Time Does Change and If you Press Menu Up the Top There Will Be A Button That Says Map Press It.
5. DO A LIVESTRAM ON TRAINWAYS!!!! lol!

this game is based on sydney's earlier intercity fleet. for example: the G set train is an actual tangara train that ran for intercity back in the day. now im pretty sure that intercity no more runs anymore do to suburban trains being way more popular and major. the G set has its suburban counterpart know as the Tangara T Set.

I swear sydney trains are good and all but the narrow guage railways in queensland, perth and potentiallly in new zealand are SO underrated! Its like the standard gauge and broad guage railways of Australia have a monopoly on Australian railway games...
i agree, i'm victorian but i adore the spirit of queensland and it's railbed. i wanna go up to cairns one day!
The HST is actually called the XPT in Australia
7:26 It’s based on the trains in NSW. The trains are based on the real-life trains, but the station names are made up. There are other Roblox Sydney Train games, including Mini Sydney Trains 2, a train game with real, moving doors and a wider selection of trains.

I Played that game on Roblox Its Like Stepford County Railway but Australian. Maybe the Perfect fit for the XPT Maybe on Stepford Express or Airlink
the door chime is the announcement sound and also the numbers on the floor is the car marker and the station Victoria is central irl and , and also check the game mini Sydney trains 2 on roblox, I’m my opinion it’s more realistic but good video

The little arrow on the GUI is the track switcher when you want to switch between tracks. It is useful mainly on different routes 7:52

Can you Play Nids Buses? It's a tram-bus game where you can be: Passenger, or bus or tram driver. Trains in this game are autonomic, so the train can arrive at any time. Also, the time here is +1.
there is a map in the game all you need to do is open the menu up on the left after spawning your train and it's there :)

cool to answer your question at 7:30 it is based on Cityrail Edit: I found out a few months ago that this game takes place in 2005 before sydney trains
Cityrail became Sydney Trains in 2013.
I play this often, there’s an older version of this which is way less popular

Also just for your information, most of the 3 car variations of trains in Trainways don't exist in real life. There are instead have 4 car variants. I could be wrong however it would make sense that they were shortened in Trainways due to lag or compatibility with stations.

@@ThatoneTset nope. The only 3 car variant in Trainways that exists in real life are the two V sets in 3 car formation used for track maintenance and are designated as Y sets. Besides that the currently operating electric multiple units are only in 4 car, 4+4 car, and 8 car formation.

Good video matty Enjoyed it very much and the XPT or 43 they weren't sent there they where built there and where modified for Ausie track also it's fine if your ill we are all human if your playing train games In roblox I recommend project transit a British train game in England I think dunno just a recommendation

I hope you can do more on this game. In my opinion this game is one of the more realistic games, mainly because of the track sounds, cab animations and the fact that the trains have suspension, which I don't think any other train game does this.

So to answer your question, Trainways is based around 2005 pretty sure and most of the stations/map are based on real life and have their own sort of lore to it. Also if you wanna view the map you have to click on menu and there should be a map option.
It is km/h because it is Australian. I am more used to km/h because I am Asian. Only America and UK uses mph.
