This cake looks delicious. I've got this baking in my oven right now at 4:44am 😅 lol The only thing I did different was split my apples into 2 layers. I'm excited to see how it turns out. Thanks for the recipe!

I totally agree with the measuring of the flour and added ingredients I always fluff it with a spoon and don’t pack it and level it off with a knife /I bake a lot as well I have watched so many CZcamsrs the way they measure 🙃and having it all measured out and ready is so much easier too-I am so ready for humidity and heat to go away -thank you Donna and have a great week and see ya Sunday ❤️🙏

Ok, I made this cake for Easter. I have to say, it was a hit! The most delicious apple cake I’ve ever had. And the frosting! Absolutely amazing and delicious! Thanks Donna! By the way, got a delicious recipe for chocolate chocolate chip cookies?

Yum that looks delicious. And it's so pretty. I'm definitely ready for some cool weather. I can't take the heat the way I could when I was younger. Do you think I could reassembled all of this and instead of baking it I could freeze it?
Deirdre I would not suggest freezing the batter it will not rise the way it should and apples hold to much water after defrosting hope this helps❤️

How high does this cake come out? I am thinking that's an awful large amount of sugar topping and was wondering if I could cut the topping in half and only use it on the very top. Would the cake be sweet enough or do you need that middle layer? Looks beautiful, but I like things a little less sweet. Also do the apples cook all the way through? Thanks.
Hello Grace, The cake is not really sweet I find and for the apples as long as you cut them fairly thin they are nice and soft..I have never tried cutting the topping In half so I’m not really sure I’m sorry if you do please keep us posted how it turned out for you and I would say the height is smaller than a layer cake hope this helps❤️

Hi, cake looks delicious. I am confused to the amount of butter in the batter. The topping had 2 sticks (1 cup). The batter had 1/2 stick and you called it a 1/2 cup. Wouldn't a half of cup be 1 stick? I would like yo make it and want to put the right amount of butter. Thanks
Hello johnna the ingredients are posted in the video towards the beginning..in the cake I did state 1 stick of butter being 1/2 cup that goes in the cake hope this helps and the topping is two sticks being one cup I truly hope you enjoy ❤️
