I remember watching him on TV in 1996 olympics , i was a kid but i never forgot his name and face to this day, respect to Italians one of the biggest sport nations in the world. From croatia ♥️
Give us FIUME back, you bastards!!!
@@giovysoddu are you drunk?
Andrea Larosa
Thanks man! It’s an honour to have him among us and a pleasure to have you as neighbours here, Croatia is stunning. Also the other Italian in this thread was making a joke about WWII, he wasn’t actually insulting you lol
Thanks mate
Elegance, precision, strength made art!!!!. What an amazing gymnast!!!!.
He has no legs
@@edalbertpal wtf
@@edalbertpal shut the fuck up nerd
@@edalbertpal dont make me be nazist
@@edalbertpal you have no life
50 years old and rocking a damn shredded physic 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
This is pure raw strength of the human body.
Not so pure
“No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.” -Socrates
u sure no doping?
Not raw for sure
I bet the all fuckers
here to insinuate about the use of doping are all Olympic medalists, right?
He shows perfectly how to fight Injuries and Age. I personally think that he deserves another gold medal: still motivational and hypnotic at the Age of 50. Chapeau
*Gravity has left the chat.*
You won the comment section as far as I'm concerned

35 years old and he won the medal, wow...
The way he switch between ultra dynamic movement and static positions. So much ease. Beautiful and inspiring to watch.
Grande Yuri, una delle nostre grandi leggende olimpiche.
somehow I ended up here because of a TikTok, I don’t know who JURY IS, “lord of the rings” he was just mention, any ways craziest sport I’ve seen !! so much strength you need to have, 🤯geez 🤯
Im glad hes still doing well after the age 50 wish him keep motivating people ❤❤❤
I remember him!. He was a beast back in the day. The"King of The Iron Cross". He was the one inspired Yuri VanGelder.
Whenever I feel tired and plans to skip workout, I watch this video and start workout
That's odd.
🤔
Whenever *I* get tired and plan to skip my workout, I watch this video and start....
To think I'll never attain this kind of raw strength and a body like that (even at 50). Then I don't workout. I just cry, and I blame, and eat burgers or cookies or both.
25 anni dopo Atlanta, sono ancora qua tutta ammirata, e mi chiedo come fa ad avere questo viso pulito e sereno che non tradisce nessun sforzo. Super Yuri.
Superb. In modern gymnastics, the dismount from the ring as evolved with so many spins, twisted somersaults etc.. detracting from the main part of the ring routine which is ( or rather was) pure strength. And sure enough , modern gymnasts can fly on these dismounts but there are not as strong as gymnasts of yesteryears. Very few gymnasts can do a sustained perfect iron cross these days. I wish we could get back to work on improving past routines for the rings these days and forget complicated dismounts.
Yeah he is good at iron cross, but his inverted cross is shit compared todays gymnast
Look at his inverted cross, it's not as good as nowadays athletes. Plus nowadays there's much more harder strength move like zanetti, van gelder, butterfly to inverted cross, etc
BRAVO!!!!!👏 👏👏👏👏👏
And he's lethally funny too! Him and Sara Simeoni did the comment show about the Olimpics games in 2021, it's my first time watching the post-game discussion, they were so great. I spent the time rotfling, tbh.
I'm Italian and so proud to have had an absolute legend like him in my country. He is the embodiment of what an human body should be able to accomplish
Great great athlete, even greater human being. His mindset, positive attitude, and determination, as well as hard work brought him the success he deserved. Even after multipe serious injuries he always came back. He returned to compete on 2004, to fulfill a promise he had done to his father while he was fighting for life. His goal was to qualify and he got bronze, at almost 35!
Perfetto ? ... de' più!!!! ✌️👋👏👏👏
IMMENSO YURI ❤️
the most aesthetic iron cross i've seen
Amazing gymnast and gentleman
a legend...love from Bangladesh
2:21 what a landing, that was impeccable and as if every other movement wasn’t performed to perfection.
Jury CHECHI leg it legend, perfect Iron cross
The one and the only💪💪❤❤
This is pure dominance! Not anyone came ever close to him!!!
Forza muscolare, forza di volontà, persona umile a dir poco stupenda!Grazie Yuri!!!

THATS POWER...
50 year old yuri could beat me up in the blink of an eye
That man is so strong.
That biceps brah!
He and Alexei Nemov are my favorite gymnasts!
Chechi, the *true* lord of the rings!! Has anyone done it better than him? I doubt it. Scherbo, perhaps, but still i don't know.
I'd say Van Gelder is close...but no!
What do you mean with better? Strength or achievements?
@@kalamity6356 Well, in terms of achievements i guess Scherbo takes the cake (he won many medals). But in this case i was being specific about "being better at working the rings".
@@jfg1104I've seen van Gelder do the inverted cross better than Chechi in this video
Saturday evening, I just got this YT suggestion while thinking about getting some chips and beer from the kitchen. I pass....at least for now. Immensly impressive what he did!
That requires enormous amount of strength. He's strong af.
His pushing strength just daymnnn. Btw I never see his older 50 yo video, WOW!!!
Юрий красавчег!!!
Точно красавчик ,ты тоже красавчик ?сколько вам лет?.
Jesus what a beast.
I'm going to need my ice pack just watching this.
YOW! THANK YOU!! INCREDIBLE WORK! VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!! BLESSINGS!!
3:26 Andrea Larosa + Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) = Yuri Chechi 😮
man of steel
This is pure strength
Simplemente excelente 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Orgoglio nazionale
A great man more than a great athlete
Not the GOAT, but the probably the cleanest iron cross in history
Undefeated 1993 -1997 .. it’s a goat thing in itself
Yes he is the goat, also better that van gelder
Petrounias who is the best right now could also be considered for the GOAT
@@monstercraft3519 van gelder is better, Chechi inverted cross is shit compared to van gelders'
@@chaosdragon6588 AhahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahhhHHHHHahh
Never seen a person as ignorant of gymnastics as you.
GOAT
Great video! 💪👍
Hola saludos!!!! Desde México!! Este vato no tiene madre mis respetos!!

He should do a challenge with Nile Wilson on his CZcams channel. That would be epic!
Yeah
I mean it’s been 30 years
Matteo Di Rubbo you haven’t seen him today tho... may be old but he’s still doing stuff that leave me speachless!

I remember him and watching Watts Zap during an Olympis!a woman let out a loud Gasp when he did the 1st Iron Cross! and he looked her way, and gave her a nod!
its at the 1.26 minute mark!
Leggenda!
POWER!!
Gotta be something with still rings and the name Yuri
BRAVISSIMO,,,,,,,,,
He had the worst luck. Yuri deserved more than one shot at the Olympics. But, he made them count when he finally made it in 1996.
Considering the title, and OF COURSE he still is the Lord of the Rings, you should have used another music. But thanks, great video.
Looks both ways nods head yes I’m a bad man 🤣😂!!!!!!
judging by the way he looks, i believe his wife is very very happy
and he draws the gaze of young 20 years old chicks
Best of the best
Yuri van gelder.
No Yuri van Gelder is the best of the best, this guy is one of the best
