29:30-34:00 When Karl was talking to Alex, I couldn't help but tear up. It felt as though he's speaking directly to me, his affirming words made me so emotional. For people like Alex, like me who have mental health issues and wanting to end things, comforting words and genuine presence greatly help in motivating us to see another sunrise. But in this society that we have, what we often hear is blame. Kesyo kulang kami sa prayer and faith sa Lord, kesyo we need to be thankful, that we're lucky to be alive. And the worst of it all is kaartihan lang yan, that we shouldn't overthink. The thing is, we know that life is precious, but sometimes life itself can be a living hell no matter how much we want to live it. And it doesn't help when people blame or guilt-trip us by painting us as ungrateful human beings. If there's an off switch that stops us from suicidal thoughts and such, we would've pressed it already.
We're on the same boat. I also felt like Karl was the one talking to me and I was Alex. So affirming, very genuine words of love and care

im so happy alex chose to open up to karl and nick. he was brave for choosing to be vulnerable. however, i feel sad knowing there are many queers out there who have experienced and are experiencing the same thing that alex encountered :(( establishing one’s identity is not an easy task of adolescence and young adulthood. what more, coming terms with one’s sexual identity comes with challenges knowing gender prejudices, social rejection, and discrimination can break you :((

From the start Karl has always been one of my favourites. Yes, he is older than the other guys by a few years, so he has most likely been through more than the others. But what really attracts me to him is his willingness to talk and listen to others. Share his experiences and help these guys not feel so alone.
What he did in this episode for Alex was just such a kind and caring heart.
I know many people really like Bong, but I do not believe he could have accomplished that same level of comfort for Alex. I just find Bong's attitude to be more flighty. It was so clear how he was just trying to manipulate everyone at the party so he gets his own way. Sorry, Bong...love doesn't work that way. Attractions are based on more than just looks. It has a lot to do with personality too.
And as for Aaron, I really liked him too through this series. And hearing his story in the last episode had me in tears. But now...not so much. It is fine to tell the other campers that you are attracted to one specific person. But you cannot tell them to back off. This is a game show after all. But as I said above about Bong, love is not something you can force. It is fine to tell Karl that you were jealous. But don't you dare tell him that you were hurt because you didn't have the guts to go talk to the guy you liked the most. And Karl's response, for me, was perfect. "I guess it's not a camp anymore, it's a competition".

alex opening up about his problems kinda put the pieces together about why he's quiet, shy, and acting like that in the prior episodes. and I'm glad he did and I'm happy that he was able to let it out and not just keep it to himself. karl was also able to handle it pretty well. karl is so good with words and tears kinda well up in my eyes bcs i empathized with alex's feelings and when karl said those things, like i feel like he said it so beautifully and something that alex would rly want and need to hear.

This episode reminded the time I realize we all have our own pace to learned and to health. If what we let out is honestly how we feel then it’s valid. To find comfort on a friend it’s a blessed.

1. Aaron - ma-issue siya na tao at small things ginagawa niya na big things. I know na may bullying issue siya dati at he is working on sa confidence niya that's why he's prangka pero there is limitations sa lahat. His confidence comes out as arrogance.
2. Gabe - He might be a huge giver in a relationship pero when he said that he was told sa doctor not to drink anymore pero YOLO siya is a major red flag. Wala siyang self-control if he can do that to himself how much more sa ibang tao. Also, he is attracted to red flags lalo na pagsabi ni Nat na he's chronic freeloader then he said he is fine with it. Nat showed resemblance sa ex niya na pinapagawa sa kanya mga stuff which means di pa sha nag-grow.
3. Justin - WALKING RED BILLBOARD. He knows he is good looking lol. Do I need to explain? Dami eh HAHAHHA. Pero ito ang grabe, HE LIKES ALEX DAW PERO NAKIPAG BODY SHOT SA IBANG TAO! TAENA sure siya like niya si ALEX???? If ako may gusto akong tao I would not do that lalo na sa mga taong nagkainterest sa akin. MAJOR RED FLAG. Other than how he view the relationship eme.
4. Nat - chornic freeloader at para he built a confidence na he can get away with anything kasi he has looks. I mean the guy has an average look.
5. Stanley - Di pa sha fix very hard pag maging kayo kasi icocompare ka niya sa ex niya or his trauma. Tapos he doesnt know how to listen daming times lutang sha. He has habit na may weird face expressions siya when other people say something. He is kinda immature din minsan. At parang may sarili siyang world.
6. Bong - Redflag kasi he manipulates people. He might not be aware of this yet pero its so natural for him to control people at things. I like Bong as friend tho pero if friend kami I'll help him realise na sometimes di mo need icontrol ang tao let people do their own shit at pag di ikaw piliin then move on. I really like him as a friend tho.
7. Dan - the most greenflag ahhaha. I like him as a friend pero in a relationship is hindi. I like how consistent he is in liking Karl at he knows where and when to act. May restraint sha sa self niya and hes intelligent din. One thing na I hope he improves is his shyness yung medyo awkward sha. If maging lawyer sha need niya mag-act with full conviction. At first it turned me off yung parang awkward sha. Yung di sha sure sa words niya.
8. Nick - di ko sha bet. May conceited sha na signs. Parang hes giving me "listen to me kasi ganito ako bro" vibes lol. Di ko talag sha bet intuition ko ahhahhaha and I trust my intuition. Pero as a person well hes fine naman. Friend? Parang di masyado.
9. Karl - He is a green flag din pero age matters to me so ekis. He knows how to communicate. Pero medyo na off ako sa response niya kay Aaron yung ginawa niyang competition. He can handle it better naman eh like how Justin handled Bong's confrontation. Feel ko marami pa siyang tinatago na bad side niya as I said he knows how to play the game.
10. Alex - TBH, ayoko siya for Bong. May issue siya sa confidence and its okay naman. Pero di lang sa sexuality niya eh. Medyo mahirap sa relationship na ikaw always yung hype person at giver. Medyo din medyo weak sha yung dapat always mo siyang iconsider. It would be nice if may assertive ka na partner. He can easily fix Bong vs Justin issue eh pero undecided pa sha gosh. Di man niya kayang sabihan si Justin "sorry pero wala na eh." Need ni Bong ng someone na ipaglaban sha tho at I cant see that kind of attitude kay Alex. Baby na baby yung galawan niya which is kinda tiring pag pumasok na kayo sa very serious stage sa relationship yung tapos na talking at getting to know stage.
Alex is braver than he thinks, he came out to his parents even though they're super religious and sacrificing his mental health just so he can live his authentic life. I hope I'll get the same strength when its my time to do the same😔 hugs to all the queer people whose still in the closet, it shouldnt be this hard to live our lives the way we want 🫂🫂

i agree with bong. confrontation naman is very important. pero we filipinos have this toxic culture of parinigan. stanley was reactive in the last episode and i think conferring with justin could clear things between them. but i just love the fact that justin hugged stanley when he cried after sharing his part.
We know that on last episode, stanley’s reaction was a trauma response on what Justin confessed pero it doesn’t give him a free pass to be a jerk on how he will treat Justin especially it wasn’t Justin who hurt him naman. Then now, na bong was giving an advice na he should’ve talked w/ Justin & he’s response na ayaw nya, it was respected diba pero kinalaunan kakausapin lang din naman pala. The worst is, he just expect na Justin will be okay to discuss it w/ him (even tho he doesn’t owe any explaination to Stanley), he didn’t even asked if it’s okay to asked muna bago sya nanghingi ng clarification about it. Stanley kinda ruined someone’s mood on a party just to cater himself. Ang self righteous lang talaga ng datingan nya for me
At first, I thought Alex was just drunk, like some other people when they're drunk, they're unconsciously crying coz they are feeling to do it. But afterwards, after hearing all his story, it feels like, I am seeing myself when I was in his age, looking for someone who could understand me and who could talk to me without any pretention, someone whom I could open up with, I could say anything I wanna say without thinking that I might get judged. This is really what other people are saying, "don't easily judge someone if you don't know what they're going through, instead, talk to them and listen attentively of what they're going through, coz you don't know, it happened to you way way before and you can help them by giving them advices". I've come to understand Aaron and his mission to try and prove people wrong. He's in a way being underestimated by a guy that he really likes and has hard feelings for. I just don't want him to push himself so hard to try and prove a point to a guy who barely even sees his worth in the real him aspect. Aaron is a nice guy and he deserves to be with someone who knows he isn't putting up a front in real life compared to social media. If a guy has to ask you if you're being honest and truthful to yourself and others, then that isn't the guy for you. Sometimes people just already have their minds made up to where they don't want to allow themselves to see the truth, even if the truth makes them look "unpleasant" in the end. Aaron you're an amazing guy and I'm sure there's someone else who sees you for you and who appreciates that. Just take your time and let it all play out. You will find your true love, your other half eventually. 💕

I love how Karl made comfort to alex about identity crisis and finding purpose in life. This moral dilemmas are really close to my heart as I also experience that too. Alex is just brave for easing out the pain inside and would tell it to person who'll listen not to reply but to understand. I hope one day too I can also have that carriage to atleast voice out to anyone what I have inside. I really appreciate Karl so much for being so genuine, for sharing wisdoms based on his experience. If he's (Karl) seeing this comment I would like you to know that you've also touched the innermost chamber of my heart. My thoughts on Alex, Bong and Justin:
1. ALEX DIDN'T LEAD BONG ON. Alex didn't give Justin a spark on Ep 1 because he thought Justin was no longer interested in him. Justin cut off contact before the show started.
2. Alex likes Justin because Justin looked at him like he was the only person in the room and they had meaningful conversations. Justin said the same exact thing about Alex.
3. SO IT'S NOT BECAUSE BONG IS EFFEMINATE. It's because Bong never really initiated a meaningful conversation with Alex. Bong just made jokes all the time and all Bong's comments are about how hot Alex is, etc. Bong never really tried to get to know Alex was, beyond appearances and small talk.
4. LESSON: COMMUNICATE. Get to know a person. Wag puro biro2 lang.

My unwarranted opinion on the boys:
Dan just eating and drinking is a major mood. I love love love his character growth. I wish he could have gotten one date with Karl though because Dan liked him the whole time, and he won almost all the challenges, but never got to pick Karl.
I love Karl. Him comforting Alex was soooo sweet. I need Karl as my therapist.
Nick and Karl were so unexpected, but I think they are really great together.
Gabe seems sweet, but not enough screen time to really judge.
Nat is so fun. He seems like a good guy as well.
Bong is my all time favorite character. He brings life everywhere he goes, and I love how he plots and stirs the pot, respectively. I'm afraid he's going to get hurt by Alex though, and that makes me sad.
Aaron. Him and Bong are night and day. I think Bong approached Justin very appropriately, and they both had no hard feelings after it was over. Aaron on the other hand was shooting daggers with his eyes at Karl. It's sweet he drew a picture and picked flowers, but no one is entitled to anyone else's feelings. He seemed like he felt he owned Nick or something, just because he liked him and that is very off putting. On top of that, he gets offended by Karl when Aaron was the one being aggressive in the first place.
Stanley seems like he was not ready to be on this type of show. He hasn't healed from his past hurt and is taking it out on the wrong people. However, I do believe in his character assessment of Justin.
Justin. I don't trust him. He says things that should be sincere, but don't think they actually are. I think Alex will choose him, but Justin will tire of Alex and just move on to the next.
Alex. What a sweet baby boy. I'm so glad he is here to get a network of friends and mentors. I'm so proud of him for being vulnerable and I wish him all the best. I think he will choose Justin (sadly). I think he just told Bong he will go out with him to not hurt Bong's feelings, but I don't fault him for that since he's still young.
Dani, I was going to make a comment. Upon starting, I stopped, and thought I'd look at some comments before I did. To make sure I was more accurate with what I noticed in this chapter, and in previous ones. When I read your comment, I had to endorse what you wrote. That's exactly what I was going to write too. I would like to reinforce and add:
-I also wouldn't give Justin a second chance due to his lack of confidence and behavior when dating. Alex and Bong could be a good start for the two, but due to the great difference in behavior and training, I have doubts if they will stay together for a long time.
- As for Aaron, I think he is an immature, middle-aged teenager (15 to 16 years old), who wants his will to prevail anyway. And, in reality, he doesn't like Nick, he just wants to prove to Nick that he can trust him, for being a Gemini (episode 1, in the final dispute with the 3 pairs). Gemini is really unreliable (Example: my sister too), lol. Brazil
Oh! I remembered what I was going to write more, because of AARON's annoyance (2 times), I think he will ask to LEAVE SPARKS CAMP. I think he thinks nobody likes him.
@@carlosgomesmartins9370 Yes, I totally agree with your assessment. Aaron seems to want Nick just because Nick didn't want him. I know we don't see 90% of their interactions, but it seems like they never talked at all, so how could Aaron even develop deep feelings? I am a bit empathetic towards Aaron because of his past trauma, but I hope he is able to get therapy or find a way to grow.
@@carlosgomesmartins9370 Some people didn't get any sparks or go on any dates, and they all had a better attitude about it than Aaron. He seems to be very jealous of how popular Karl is. If he leaves the camp on the last day, that would be so immature.
@@danidoodle7485 Dani, as far as I know there are 9 episodes, so we will still have the 12th and 19th (on this day the 9th Ep.), Karl is popular because he is older, more experienced, and has good communication with everyone, and doesn't waste time with what does not matter (objectivity). Just testing everyone that interests you (or that gives you the opportunity, in the case of Nick who called him to the meeting). I have nothing against Aaron, I actually like him for being a sensitive person, but being an influencer, he could have already asked for help (psychologist), before venturing into this type of reality, the same applies to Stanley. If you're going to analyze each one, you'll need a big book. Lol
The only one who hasn't been able to fool me since the performance is Justin. And as the revelations came, it only confirmed my dislike for him. I just wish that everyone leaves the reality show well, and finds their deserved peers on or off campus.

I think there's more to them prior to Sparks Camp than what they revealed to the other campers. Si Alex yata yung tinutukoy ni Justine na ni-let go nya kasi di pa siya totally healed sa ex nya at ayaw nya gawing rebound. I think and hope na sila ang may mutual Sparks in the end.

Gustong gusto nia talaga makuha c Alex 😂😂😂😂😂 Meanwhile Aaron trying hist best to show his vulnerable side to everyone was very wholeseome and Dan being an unbothered queen. Nick is also just being consistent in being the Nick Nelson everyone deserves.. this makes me think the the four of them are like the highlight of this episode..

Lots of interesting angles here. The best one is Karl comforting Alex. Then the series of confrontations (?) Aaron to Karl, Bong to Justin, Stanley to Justin. I love how Dan emphasizes that 'for someone who knows his value, doesn't want to beg for attention." Pak na pak yon.
The spotlight of this episode is Dan. There is character development maybe because of Nick. Then, congrats!

Dan being so okay the whole episode inspite of whats going in his surroundings made him shine among others.
Karl is really a standout for me in this episode so mature and confident. Him and nick was quite a happy surprise. Alex reminds me so much of myself in many ways and I'm glad he had that conversation with Karl. I do have a feeling that Alex might pick Justin because i am feeling like thats a more two way street. But he does look like Bong majes him smile too so i really dont know. Also special shoutout for Dan for just enjoying himself. Great episode!
