    Couldn't agree more. This is been the most versatile modifier I have ever used. Amazingly it's even pretty inexpensive especially for an Aputure product!

      I totally agree. It's definitely a worthwhile purchase. The price is absolutely justifiable!

    I have the lantern and love it! I actually use it as my normal light in my office as opposed to the ugly overhead light.

      Yeah man, I hear you. In my office, I either use the BenQ screenbar or the lantern, depending on what I'm doing, for the same exact reason you mentioned.

    This is the one to get if you're looking to get a lantern softbox. The Aputure includes the skirt. Most of the others offer it as an option. Good Review!

    It's cool, but I couldn't find a way to fix it over my desk. I also don't have extra space around and the desk with a variable height feature, so that light should follow the desk.
    There are some desk stands in Aliexpress, but they're all clumsy, not for that weight.

      I think it could work, especially with the flags. Something like the photo in the thumbnail. All depends on what you're going for specifically

    Hi. One question, does the lantern lock into the light itself ? As I hear on another video it wasn't doing that, as those are 2 different manufacturers.

    • @PostColorGear
      @PostColorGear  Před 3 lety

      It depends on the light. It's a Bowens mount so any light that accepts a Bowens mount will be fine.

    Great video mate. subbed. I have the same SL60 as you do.
    I'm thinking about picking up the
    Aputure 120d Mark II with the lantern. Do you think the extra power etc will be worth the money?
    Thanks!

    • @PostColorGear
      @PostColorGear  Před 4 lety +1

      Thanks for the sub! And it all depends. I have not had any issues with my SL60, either with the brightness, or the minimal fan noise. If you're just shooting YT videos or just small rooms, I don't think the extra money spent would have a huge impact. (because you already have the Godox) Having said that, I love the Aputure products and if you need a workhorse of a light, the 120d mark 2 is an amazing light.

    • @philippblank
      @philippblank Před 4 lety

      @@PostColorGear Thanks for the response! I guess the fan does not matter too me much. It's mostly local interviews. maybe to light out a restaurant counter or a product shoot in my office. I guess the SL60 will do for that. One last question, the Gordox Softbox doesn't seem great. Would you pick up the lamp or the aperture softbox if you would have to pick one for what I described above? Thanks for taking the time!

    • @PostColorGear
      @PostColorGear  Před 4 lety
