There was a time when a Perodua Myvi was the go to car if you wanted something affordable and reliable to go about your daily business. It was so good that the Myvi has come to symbolise Malaysian roads more than the Proton Saga - Malaysia's first national car.
But today though, the Myvi is no longer affordable, especially the 1.5 AV. Even the entry level models cost somewhere in the mid RM40,000 category.
But you get quite a lot of features and an impressive array of safety features.

I agree that the CVT is better compared to the 4AT. But that says more about how lacking the 4AT is. If Perodua ever comes up with a 6AT, I think it would be even better than this CVT.
