Really not a fan of Pyro putting the blame on the customer for not unsubscribing when the company seems to be acting deliberately underhanded towards its users. Also, while i personally haven't tried to sign up and then unsubscribe, i wouldn't be surprised if they have some sneaky bullshit that would make it difficult to unsubscribe in a timely fashion. Do not excuse scummy companies for being scummy
Neytirix is an artist here on CZcams that made an entire series around Skillshare sponsorships, treating the ad read as some form of summoning ritual. She knew Skillshare was evil from the start.
I use skillshare, it's pretty good ,however you shouldn't use it to learn coding . But learning softwares like blender and unreal engine, also they have many art courses.
She's fine I think, she just didn't know that skill share was evil she just want people to learn how to make great drawing or animation like her, but IDK man
i remember signing up for the free trial used it for 2 days and cancelled it but they still ended up charging me for a year subscription took me nearly 5 month getting my money back
Why is it such an absurd concept to some people that access to a trove of educational lessons and videos is behind a paywall designed to pay the instructors for their time and effort? No one has heard of online courses before the popularization of SkillShare? Setting aside its own downsides, people are so affixed on one thing: that there exists a platform that requires actuallly not that much money from a prospective student to learn from the culmination of professionals' experience and knowledge in their respective fields. Is it expected that because one instance of teaching is free (e.g. some obscure series of advanced tutorials dating back years for some visual design program), then all other forms should be too? The argument comparing its prices to YT Premium and Netflix is ridiculous. Entirely different classes of services. If the price tags were reversed, I'd imagine people would still find issue paying $12-something a month on SkillShare but happily relinquish $30 a month on entertainment. And the initial basis for this video is an opinion anyway - "Skillshare is just a worse CZcams/CZcams behind a paywall." No deep-dive findings or insight shared. Just "it bad, read deez reviews"
Surprised to see pyro shilling for skill share when they scam their customers, yet when it comes to paying their creators, they've gone too far for him to continue supporting them.
My personal experience with skillshare was actually quite positive. Me and a friend used it for a few month splitting the cost to learn how to draw. we did use youtube and yes a topic like drawing/illustration does have many quality tutorials here, but we just found how the courses were done along with a focus on assignments and not just "how to" videos made a world of difference. Skill share does have a lot of garbage, but I also wouldn't discount it either. both me and my friend did 2 free trails before splitting 1 month so the cost really wasn't anything

this is the same story as with raycons: if they have enough money to get youtubers to shill them everywhere, then said money is probably going to advertising more than the product itself
I think skillshare is kinda like the lootcrate subscriptions, sometimes there is good, even awesome stuff, but most of the time it's a waste of money and you'd be better looking for the thing you actually want on your own. I think the person making the video really exaggerated his argument just for the sake of content, which I can respect; but man they need to step up their sound effect game, cause it ain't it right now
I don't feel like the points in the video were exaggerated whatsoever, the platform just generally sucks, youtube is way more varied and has some of the absolute best videos in the world, any small creator can just start teaching anything and make way more money than on skillshare. It's not really a lootcrate if it's guaranteed that you're gonna get a worse version of a youtube tutorial. But I absolutely agree that the sound effects are trash.

I signed up for free trial yeears ago, when i cancelled after 5 day they charged me £70. I got my money back but it was super scummy because apparently the free trial i had signed up for was for 1 year, so it wasnt a free trial but a paid subscription. I had to take screenshots of my account proving i signed up for the free trial (pretty sure it was also the month one) and not some 1 year subscription thing. It took me and my dad emailing from 3 different email addresses each for them to answer even one and refund my money. Even then they said it was my fault for misclicking - on what, though, i cant imagine. Fuck skillshare
Not sure what the Logically Answered guy has said on this one as I haven't watched the video yet but going through some of his others he has very clickbaity videos that either lack information or just show that he doesn't really know what he's talking about. I remember not seeing my dad for 5 years, and when I finally met him, instead of spending time with me he just told me to attend these "Get-rich" or "How to stand out from the crowd" classes that's run by "entrepreneur". I was so pissed and angry at the time man. I just can't understand how boomers are so into these kind of classes. And it's not like I'm unemployed or anything at the time, I'm a nurse, well-paid, and stable life. But I guess he wanted me to become a doctor...
Now seeing these classes shown in the vid is like reopening old wounds.
Seems like pyro really wants a skillshare sponsorship
The issues is they advertise a free 30 day trial, but charge you after 14 days
Really not a fan of Pyro putting the blame on the customer for not unsubscribing when the company seems to be acting deliberately underhanded towards its users.
Also, while i personally haven't tried to sign up and then unsubscribe, i wouldn't be surprised if they have some sneaky bullshit that would make it difficult to unsubscribe in a timely fashion. Hell, I've seen companies hide the unsubscribe option, deliberately mislead customers into not unsubscribing, and even in one case requiring you to fucking MAIL your request to their P.O. Box.
She's fine I think, she just didn't know that skill share was evil she just want people to learn how to make great drawing or animation like her, but IDK man
Take a shot everytime Pyro says "slop".
Pyro lurks too much on 4chan
or drivel
WE LOVE GOYSLOP
i remember signing up for the free trial used it for 2 days and cancelled it but they still ended up charging me for a year subscription took me nearly 5 month getting my money back
Pyro really wanting that skillshare sponsorship holy
BREAKING NEWS: an add was false advertising
Me: I’ve never seen this in my entire life
Complete bullshit if you say you've NEVER heard of Skillshare 💀

Just "it bad, read deez reviews"
theres way more professionals on youtube giving out these lessons for free no need to pay money
I cannot belive skills hare would do this 😪😪😪
Skill Share should really sponsor Pyro after this video.
Surprised to see pyro shilling for skill share when they scam their customers, yet when it comes to paying their creators, they've gone too far for him to continue supporting them.
Big throwback from Pyro using a stomedy clip for his cutaway gag. I thought I was about to see some CSGO Surf or Mirrors Edge gameplay for a second.
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate this guy for reuploading his streams and still getting 100k views within an hour
You could learn this easily without paying too much, all it costs is a pencil a piece of paper and some time
@@celestialceilagor3802 I paid like 12$ for the whole thing. Also doing something without direction isn’t efficient. We both already had experience and like I said CZcams was great, I just happen to find better stuff on skillshare for said topic. You’re basically saying get a ball and shoot some hoops and you’ll be ready for the NBA, no it doesn’t work like that.
I think almost every CZcamsr I regularly watch had an ad for this.
Someone needs to tell this guy he doesn't need to add a quirky sound effect every time he makes an edit.
@@Homer___Simpson Someone needs to tell this dude to not be personally offended that people he likes have taken money to say script that is fully disclosed as sponsored content, just because the company may not be great. He's like SEETHING edgy the whole video.

my favorite part about this video is the vest rubbing on the mic, thank you so much pyro
9:20 - Uh, he didn't say YT is better JUST because a million times more content is available, he said that as like his 5th out of many many reasons YT is better. I would say being able to find a huge selection of instructional/tutorial vids on literally ANY TOPIC for FREE would be plenty good enough a reason! 🤨
so glad to see the stromedy cameo that made my day
i honestly didnt know people who get trials dont immediately cancel it so it ends at the end without them having to worry about
Pyro arguing before the point isn't fully made
So proud pyro is sharing with us how he got scammed by skillshare
I once was using a free trial of skill share to learn unreal engine, when my trial ran out I just watched the rest of the tutorial series on CZcams. 10/10
1:10 “I’ve never promoted it….” *Shows usa video about Skillshare*
Jesus Pyro is making me wonder if he has part ownership in Skillshare with all this cope
this is the same story as with raycons: if they have enough money to get youtubers to shill them everywhere, then said money is probably going to advertising more than the product itself
Are RayCon earbuds actually good or are they shady/a scam? Because I've thought about buying them. 🤔

lmao the audio randomly changing makes the video so entertaining!
Considering how Pyro likes Disco Elysium, I'd be interested in hearing his take on the Studio ZA/UM controversy, especially now with people's reaction to Collage Mode.
TL;DR when you make account you will be charged 120$ on 2nd week and there is nothing you can do
i was considering buying skillshare these past few days so im glad you put this video out just in time
Definitely watched the WHOLE video.
I love how over half the video is just Pyro moaning about his editing lmao
Now THIS is what I call a skill-share issue
The Stomedy cameo was a surprise, but a welcome one.
Must be Skill Issue
What annoys me here is Pyro defending the company = It's usually like this, shes missed the cancellation
Don't excuse bad company behaviour just cause you're used to it. That's how you're being screwed
next time be more careful
That video had more sfx then a single Johnny test episode

Pyro getting surprised that people who dislike a practice skillshare does negatively review the site is really funny.
"People only give 1 star reviews when they don't like something" - Yeah, well done Pyro, you figured it out.
Pyro admitted to liking gay men kissing for 40 minutes
"I think he needs to watch a course about transitions" (proceeds to perfectly transition)
Lmao was that Stomedy fixing the tv
Pyro coping to try to save a potential sponsor is definitely one of the moments of all time.
12:25 The two progress bars line up.

Not sure what the Logically Answered guy has said on this one as I haven't watched the video yet but going through some of his others he has very clickbaity videos that either lack information or just show that he doesn't really know what he's talking about.
The presentation and visuals are decent though.
Just always question the work when a channel calls itself something along the lines of 'x' Skeptic, something thinker or some name that suggests it's the source of truths to burning questions.
Skillshare should change it's name to shillshare
I’ve learnt something important about CZcamsr sponsorships: 80% are shit products or scams, 19.8% have yet to prove themselves and 0.2% didn’t even need to sponsor to convince anyone.
In other words, never trust a CZcams sponsorship (unfortunately)
Pyro should take a skillshare tutorial on audio levels.
this video should just be retitled to Pyro complaining about this guy's editing style for 20 minutes and 57 seconds
why is pyro dogging on this dude for his editing and sound effects when it aint even that bad, leave him alone man he's doing fine homie.

Skillshare has like a 15 euro video tutorial where a guy just uses greemscreen and calls it vfx.

I can argue against this video, some skillshare courses are super good, I bought the membership for ayan nag's course, but watched so some good stuff alongside it. It's great for art can't say for anything else.
