After a decade of watching the show, seeing Glenn be extremely sweet towards Kaitlin is the most endearingly jarring thing ever.

I love how Charlie Day turns into Charlie Kelly based on how much alcohol and acoustic guitar are involved. But Dennis is the Hulk Glenn buries down inside himself that comes out randomly.

Well I’ve researched this as well and Tito’s is a great vodka to avoid hangovers! Also make sure you’re eating before and during drinking along with movement (dancing, biking/hiking) all helps I’ve noticed. One night I had around 7-9 drinks over the course of a few hours and had no hangover the next day! I can’t believe how much it helps to drink water, eat and exercise while boozing!

I really like drunk Glenn. You can see more of who he is behind his ….persona?. It’s lovely. He does the sitting knees together feet out thing- like he’s kinda regressed to a more childish sweet loving state. They’re right he does switch up but in a great way. I think most fans of the show wonder how much they’re like each of the characters (or actors) right? Im usually a high percent Charlie. I just went up Glennpercent. Charlie's outro seems to just be a silly drunken tune but the lyrics are very powerful. Practically two decades with these guys and they did in fact bring smiles and laughs and honesty throughout alot of folks formative years, as well as mine at the very least.

What a sweet, sweet moment that final scene was. They all so obviously belong together, and we ourselves are fortunate to be able to enjoy the fruits of their union.
I was thinking when the show finally does end it would be nice to have a Charlie music performance ok this with the gang for the final scene.
He’s so utterly clueless about his own genius. Like I know he isn’t the most book smart guy out there, but you put him in front of a piano and he’ll break your heart and put it back together again, completely by accident.

Yeah, they seem really close even outside the show. Which is awesome
I feel like at this point she almost is, they have played siblings for almost 20 years and they are all so close. From what I have heard from Interviews with guest stars on other podcasts, as well as some friends in the industry that working on Sunny is the best set they have ever worked on. Everyone was polite and kind and funny!

Well, technically Saint Paddy's Day could be considered a pretense if you wanna get pedantic, but I take your point and completely agree (non-condescendingly) this was a magnificent hour and 6 minutes, well spent. Felt like drinking with old friends, even as a watcher/creep.

It’s so crazy how Charlie can drunkenly make up a song that’s so beautiful
What I find the most wild about it is how he says he doesn't know how to play other peoples music, he mentions he learned a neil young song but doesn't really know any songs by others. The structure that he improvises into his songs (in a musical theory sense) seems like it's coming from a rather adept musician that's composed many pieces. I don't think he even knows what chords he plays which boggles my mind
@@BassLineProductionsI Both of his parents were music teachers, he probably is pretty well-educated on music theory and uses that knowledge when he improvises. Maybe subconsciously but it's not like he's a self taught amateur and accidentally composing good songs.

I hope this podcast continues even when they've covered all the episodes.
Well it's gonna be at least 3 years until they've gone over every episode, and that's only if they don't take any breaks. But I definitely agree. I'm still sad about the Talking Sopranos podcast being over. I looked forward to it every Monday and even though I love these episodes, they don't quite fill the void left by Talking Sopranos. Especially because those were at least 2 hours long and they went over each episode in great detail and had dozens of guests come on to talk about the show.

Covering all episodes weekly means that we have at least 3-4 years of podcasts left before that's something to worry about.

Seeing Glenn get so emotional after Charlie's song, and after they talked about his quitting the show multiple times,reminded me of another podcast episode (don't remember which one!) when he talked about feeling uncertain that he wanted this show to be the biggest part of his acting career, he had anticipated having more serious roles after training at Juliard. Based on that, I'm guessing Charlies's lyric about appearing bleak but actually sunny and being known for this "til our very last days" really resonated with Glenn. I love this show and pod, can't wait for more of both!

The ones im paying attention to all read how absolutely lovely, poetic, sincere - not to mention- seemingly off the cuff his lyrics are but I think there’s another aspect that really makes it something special:
What gets me every time is the positive nature of the lyrics in high contrast to the tone he applies them in- making this particular song reallllly powerful as an improvised composition.
I just love it.

Sunny premiered the year I turned 18. I’m 36 now. This show has literally been there for my entire adult life and has made me laugh so much, and cry that one time. I honestly think it’s THE comedy of my generation! I love seeing these guys just hanging out and having fun!
Rob has got some seriously good taste. I saw the design of the room and thought "I'd love that as my office" and then I find out it's his actual office at home. Nice. The dark wall with the wood paneling is so cool.
After how many years, after all their success, it's so heart warming they're still close friends. I envy these guys and I love them so much. IASIP has always been my go to when I'm down.
Seriously, they’re all 10 years older than me I was graduating when they came out. I started watching season 2 and their episodes definitely take me back to different points in my adult life

@@jamesmcshane1914 For sure. I legitimately think Kailtyn is in the upper echelon of comedic actresses. The constant hazing about her body type yet she still went with it all the entire time. Then again, she's an attractive person so it should have been obvious to her that it was all in the name of comedy, even if she doesn't think of herself as attractive. I don't know for sure, but I'm assuming she had to wear a backbrace when she was in middle school, so her being able to use that pain and embarrassment to make the show funnier is a real credit to her commitment and sense of self. Love all of these people. I hope they invite more actors onto the podcast, like Danny, Artemis, David Hornsby, etc.

I love when Rob turned into Mac during the drunk test walk and said "Humans were designed with two legs for a reason". I love when Charlie goes deep and says profound shit. Like how we watch movies to help with our traumas. I guess that's why I love Sunny. I am traumatized by scumbags and this show allows me to reconnect with them by laughing at them. I teared up like Glenn at the end.
The guys usually come off as very private and reserved on the pod so this was a blast to see. Feels more authentic to their personalities.

The fact is Charlie and Glenn are the ones desperately trying to make Rob laugh, the show is entirely derived from Rob's sense of humor, the cast is simply his muse. Rob doesn't crack the jokes because he's always inherently a funny guy, so making him laugh is always the goal. Joe R is the least talented person in this comment section.

It actually made me cry hearing them talk about insecurities and kaitlin saying she hated herself/the way she looked growing up. Because it just made me realise what we go through, especially as women. Like it’s good to realise that we’re not alone in our insecurities but it’s just upsetting because we’re worth so much more than that. I just hate the idea pretty much every woman hating themselves over the way that they look, at least at some point in their life, and its made me realise that i want to do better at being kinder to myself.
Agreed. It made me sad, yet respect her because that’s just such a brave thing to reveal about yourself (your insecurities). She’s such a beautiful person, inside and out, I hope she knows that. And so are you stranger 🙂. Take care

@@josephsekara1377 I understand where you're coming from but this mainly resonated with me in terms of the way that women are judged so heavily for their appearance/weight etc, and i recognise that men do go through that as well but i think on a whole its a lot worse for women so thats why i said mainly women. but yeah everyones going through shit and i wish men could speak about that a lot more openly. i hope you know emotions and discussing those things dont make you weak, its the opposite really, i admire and am a lot more drawn to men who can speak about those things. this is why its so important we break down the patriarchy for the sake of men as well as women.

It's actually pretty cute how they actually seem to have a brother/sister relationship in real life. I wasn't expecting that. When he talks about her hating people winking or doing accents, it so reminded me of how my sister and I annoy each other.

I've never felt so strongly about people I've literally never met. They're all fucking brilliant, I love this podcast as much as the show in some ways.

Glenn doesn't want to be only known for Always sunny and it triggers him when it's mentioned, although he tries to play it off. When Charlie said it's what we'll only be known for really pissed him off until he caught himself, and he catches himself a lot during this podcast episode.

Not that we all didn’t know it already, but I’m so glad we all got to experience firsthand why Glenn and Robb say Charlie is basically an amazing human being. That song made me tear up with them, and we got to share what felt like a very personal moment with them. I love this podcast.

It's really touching how fond of him they both are, and clearly he must be well-deserving of the praise, otherwise they wouldn't still be saying it to his face all these years later.

You can tell they love what they do, and they love each other. At first when Charlie finishes his song, I thought they were being sarcastic. But, you can tell they really felt that. These guys are fuckin incredible. And Danny, Kaitlyn, Hornsby, Artemis, the McPoyles, the lawyer lol, and everyone else that has anything to do with this show are fuckin perfect. Sorry for the language, I'm a South Florida man and these guys have been relatable to me since i was 15. Keep this shit going til season 30!

This is why I admire authentic people who put the inner above the outer.
